Report a phone call from 02088618682 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- LolaThey keep continually phoning me, i keep missing the call but it is rather annoying
- Doctor Octagon| 4 repliesOkay guys I work for MORI, if we call you and you don't wish to take part in a particular survey, say you're not interested and we won't call you again about that survey.
If you don't want to be called by us about any survey in the future tell us you wish to be added to the Do Not Contact Database. This is a very simple process and the person on the other end of the line will be happy to get a supervisor who will add you to the DNC Database and you'll never be called again.
It really is this easy =/ - Doctor OctagonForgot to add:
Survey projects take place over a period of time (can be days, weeks, sometimes months) and a batch of numbers is randomly generated at the start of it. The autodialer will call those numbers over the duration of the survey, if you don't answer then it calls you back in 2-3 hours, if you're line is engaged it will call you back in 30 minutes, if you answer and take part we won't call you again, if you answer and say you're not interested you won't be phoned again about it, even if you are you can request to be put on the DNC list then you won't be called again.
If you never answer, then the autodialer assumes you're not home to hear the call so will try again later when you might be. - WelshWizard replies to Doctor Octagon| 2 repliesYou phoned my pay-as-you-go mobile number at 21:00 last night. I did not elect to put this no. forward for surveys so I still think you & your company are [***] !!!
- Doctor Octagon replies to WelshWizard| 1 replyWell it was most likely given to us by your university, college, local authority or local police so I suggest you either take the issue up with them or don't give anyone your number EVER if it's such a big deal to you.
- NelHas called me three times now in the last few days. I ignored it twoce and put them off once, but it's very annoying.

That explains a little as to why the numbers might be randomly generated, but there seems to be a step that MORI have missed right at the start at the process. After the number is randomly generated, presumably it is checked against your own DNC database otherwise your database is useless??
If you can check your randomly generated number against your own database - how difficult would it be to check it against the TPS database where people, have already helpfully informed you that they don't want to be called???
After all, you acknowledge that the number is going to be persistently called over the next few hours - why not save everyone a lot of hassle by checking the numbers properly - CommanderStop Ringing

I would tell them immediately that I was not interested, however it took 3 calls for them to do so. I received 2 'silent' calls in the first instance. It is also worth mentioning that the accent of the callers is so strong, it is often exceptionally difficult to decipher them in the first place.
The silent calls in their own right are illegal and if really wanted to be whacked to the maximum extent can be classified as a malicious communication when repeated.
People are on TPS/CTPS as they do not want to be bothered by cold calls - whether sales calls or not. Your organisation really does need to reflect on this fact and take this into account.- Caller: IPSOS-MORI

- Colin| 1 replyI have sent MORI ipsos who own this number an email telling them to stop or I will report their calls as deliberate nuisance calls to South Wales Constabulary. who say it makes no diference if from private or commercial if you have asked them to stop then they should stop. Also post a link on your social networking site, Facebook and others, then perhaps they will get the message!
Insidently I have had a very bad experience with MORI and my personal details being given by them to a third party without my consent so the only information I would wish to give them is that organisations such as theirs should be closed down by privacy laws!- Caller: MORI ipsos
