it rang me at 11.30 morning time and i missed it but i wonder does it charge you for answering

@christine : why on earth would it charge you for answering it?  You would get charged if you were outside of the uk, thats standard roaming charges, but otherwise no, you will not be charged.

I just recieved this call 5 minutes ago...i did not answer...is it a scam or something?
i'm 02 network  and i live in Northern Ireland

02202 from what am told by staff instore is nothing to do with o2 and they have reported the number to the fraud line, however, after reading a few online threads i think it might be some sort of genuine thing, and something to with o2 but i don't what, alls i know is if there asking if u want a free fone (which they are with me, and are sending one so they say) theres no harm in giving ur address or postcode or name, they cant do anything with it, of course dont give credit detials tho.

On your phone just go to >messages> then >settings> then >text messages> then >Block number> and add the number into that and save.

i got a call from them today, i missed it, does anyone know whether i should answer if they call again

i m also from the O2 network.

I have been getting calls every day from this number, they leave my a voicemail which is nothing but background noise of a call centre. I have had to turn off my voicemail now.

Oh and im on O2 aswell!

Just had a very frustrating call from this number, when I answered the person didn't speak for ages and then when she did speak I found it difficult to understand what she was saying. She said she was phoning from 02 and wanted me to register my SIM. She asked for my postcode which I gave her at least 4 times and she kept saying it was invalid.  She told me to go and find out the right postcode and she would phone me back! I told her it would be the same one as I had given her already - I got very annoyed and hung up!!

Daniel the funny thing is, it is o2 and he most likely has your address, and if he doesn't o2 could quite easily find yours. People like yourself often get reported by sales agents and get cut off. Oh and you just missed out on some free stuff ahwel

well i went into 02 and they do not recognize the number i am also on o2 i got a feeling this caller has got hold of most of the o2 number and are calling us. do not answer the call just ignore them best you can

i have just had a call from this number and they hung up, so i called 02 customer service and the lady confirmed that it was from there sales department and the reason that when you answer you dont always get a reply is that it is a computer that calls to see if the number is still active, if you answer then the call gets given to a sales man to see if there is something they can do to improve the service you are getting.
if you phone the cust serv and ask them u can be removed from the calling list as i did as i am not interested in going on pay monthky ir on contract.
but this number is 02 that is calling.

02202.  .  .  .  I've had this number call me three times now and only answered it once.On answering i heard a muffled voice. In the past i had a similar number text me and when i replied i watched in horror as £12 in credit dissappeared within seconds. BEWARE !

I got a call yesterday from this number, i answered and spoke to the very nice guy on the other side who asked me some question about who i call and text. After we hung up i put the number into google and was convinced it was a scam, although he hadnt asked me any personal details. But this morning i got a confirmation text to tell me the 50 free minutes he'd given me were put onto my phone.
I only answered because there was a little sim icon next to the number that appears when i call 4444, the top up number, so i assumed it was O2.

It was a pushy sales guy trying to get me to agree to Pay as you go broadband.
Wasn't rude, just very pushy

I got a call from this number adn they said it was just a random survey so i said 'YER O.K' and the guy asked me if i was happy wid da service and den i said 'YEP' and he hung up whichthen i fout that it was sum kind of contract scam!!
