I had the call last week, it is from o2, they guy said that they were carrying reviews to make sure customers were getting the best from o2, it was partially sales based as he asked what my calling/texting patterns were and offered simplicity

it seems that not many customers may be taking the calls as he said that as I had spoken to him he could offer me a free bolt on for 3 months, so had landline 100

checked and it's been added to me account

I had calls from this number too. An Indian sales centre trying to get me to upgrade or buy another service. They offered me the 50 mins bolt on free for 3 months.

    It has been added.

Just called O2 customer services about this. They confirmed it's their sales team calling about new tariffs and offers. Seems perfectly legit.

02202 is o2's outbound sales team... the reason people who get calls from this number who arent on o2 is because you will have switched your number over from o2's network to another one.. These people ring you offering anything from tariff changes to home broadband... realisticly giving out your sort code and account number will do nothing as all you can do with that is set up a direct debit or pay money into the account... if its that important why do they put that info on debit/credit cards cheque books etc... if these people ring you listen to what they have to say..9 times out of 10 they can offer you a better deal or some freebies.. and the reason they have your number is because its o2..so why would o2 have your number...they also ask for details..ie name etc..ive seen comments on here saying if it o2 shouldt they have details on the system?..well no..if youve got a free sim card and not registered it how or why would they have your details on the system?..i used to work for this company and people saying they get 2/3/4 calls a day is wrong..it works of a dialler system..if u say call me back they will either set it as a callback..which will ring u the next day...or an evening callback which will ring u the next day after 6...if u just hang up they phone they will press customer hang up..which means ur number will go back in the system to be contacted agen...and if u dont answer they will press answer machine..again ur number goes in the system to be rung agen.....indian call centre...nope..based in altrincham belfast..middleton & bredbury...too many people are too worried these days...all these people are doin is trying to hit sales targets...which = money and comms...if u people dont answer then no 1 will hit target therefore..they will underperom & get sacked... rant over..

It was stupid, they kept calling me -_-Just concerned as everyone says  they just get silence on the other end. They left a voicemail on mine that sounded to me like a group of shouting people. Couldnt understand a work over the shouting in the background. Anyone had anything like this?

Had 3 calls 1 yesterday and 2 today, left me voicemail some woman sayin 'are you being serious', if they do have any connection with 02, then some of the people ringing are very rude.

Maybe your both right! It's an 02 company, which is badly managed, with the chance for a few shaddy workers to try and get your bank details. Most of them are just sales people trying to earn a living, but if you are happy with your phone already, then I wouldn't take the chance, just ignore it, and if you do answer, try and be a bit careful what information you give- just incase

The calls are from O2 customer services. They ask questions regarding the network service and your phone usage. eg. how much you top up. do you prefer calls or texts. how do you find the service overall, etc. but also if you are happy to receive other calls regarding the offers in the future. They gave me 50 free texts "as they value the customers that have been with them for a long time". Most members of my family has been with O2 for years and so far me, my sister and also her boyfriend have received either extra messages or minutes for a certain period of time.
As long as you are happy answering those questions (the conversation lasted about 5 min), then I don't think there is anything wrong with surveying customers and finding out what is that they are looking for from their network provider.

Ohh, they also ask if you want to register your details, but if you say no they don't ask any further: like your address, your bank account or anything like that.

Wow! i'm glad i found this site, i've had 3 calls from this number in the past 2 days. Its just started this week, I didn't answer because i don't recognise the number. I never answer a call unless i know who the number is. Your repiles have been very useful.

I just answered the phone to this number after they've rung me all week. It all sounded very genuine and I wasn't asked for bank details at any point. They asked for my details though, so I gave them a ton of [***] and it actually seemed genuine with everything they said. They just asked me how much I top-up monthly and whether I use texts or minutes more and stuff like that.

What i want to know is, if this is o2, then why have the rung me every day for the past 5 days and upon answering they have said nothing then hung up, then when i didn't answer they left me a voicemail of silence. can anyone tell me that one?
