why does the info hotline ask you for yr bank details when yr on pay as you go, i didnt give them my details, they said they would ring back tomorrowa not be answering them........ better things to do with my time.

i received this call yesterday and they offered me a sim only contract, after giving them my bank details they said the computers went down and they would call back, i never reeceived the call so i rang 02 customer services and they have no information of that number, it is a scam

I have recieved calls from this number for 3 days in a row now they have been at different times in the day and i have not picked up, its getting annoying and i dont know how they know my mobile number!!!

i used to work for them, it is o2 sales, and the reason they keep calling is becuase it is an automated dialling system with your details, it goes back into the system each time u dont anser or hang up....the reason you dont hear anyone talk at the beginning is because there is a slight delay! if u hang up they will call u back x

I had missing calls from this number several days and I just ignores it and don't answer it.

Maptin handcock. Call 2550 its an upgrade line. And the sales guys that you had a call off are in the same room. Call the number and demand you want to speak to a manager. And tell the manager to please track the order for you.

RECEIVED CALL FROM THIS COMPANY TODAY. IT APPARENTLY IS O2 BELFAST. CHAP TRIED TO OFFER ME O2 SIMPLICITY SIM. TOLD NOT INTERESTED. CHAP ADVISED THAT FOR MY TIME I WOULD RECEIVE 50MINS CALLS FREE. AWAIT AND SEE IF THIS HAPPENS

this number called me for the first time today and i answered and a lady said shes from O2 and they are checking everythings ok then asked to verify my address and date of birth and said they wanted to see if anyone else i live with has a phone contract and wants to convert to O2 then she said that someone on my account is called someone else and said thanks very much and hung up! reported it to O2 straight after they said no one from O2 had called me that day.

I spoke to an Irish sounding lady claiming to be from O2 who told me I'm currently spending 20 Euros a month on my pay as you go phone and wanted to get me a better offer.

I'm based in London so the 'Euros' raised an alarm for me.

They also appeared to have no basic information about my current service and then tried to take details over the phone to set up a direct debt offering me extra texts and free calls.

When I declined she sounded obviously annoyed and didn't want to end the call.

I asked her if there was a website I could look at regarding the offer she was making and was told to go to 02.com.

Annoyingly my mother's number ends in 02202 so this shows up on my phone as a call from her.

It is far too strange to be an 02 number. If it was 02 why hang up or not answer?
Is there a way to block this?

Got a call from this number half an hour ago. It seems I've wisely ignored it, after reading the 29 pages about them... :S I thought it might be o2, but it seems to obvious a choice of numbers for even them!

I've just started receiving these calls and as many didn't answer then thought it was o2 but when I telephoned no one was there so I hung up.  Just reported to o2 and just going to ignore again as phone usually on silent.

I keep getting this number calling me and i keep missing the call....just answerd and they hung up straight away....i never have my bluetooth switched on so not sure if they are trying to hack in to my phone or what....any advise or help would be much appreciated...Thanks

Hey ive been getting the calls from this number for two weeks now, i presumed it was o2 as it was that sort of looking number and i am with o2. Since having rung o2 to ask whats the call for thay have advised me that this is a recognised scam and advised to add it to my reject list to prevent further calls. Its a company, unknown, claiming to be a part of o2 thought they are not. They seem to be after personal information including bank details, address etc. Just ig nore it and add it to your reject list or ask o2 to block the number for you!

Just started getting these calls good to find out it's a scam I feel like giving them the run around for abit next time they call.

my daughter has been having this number phoning her.  she answered it once and the man said his name was Ikmed or something similar.  even if she doesn't answer it, she gets charged... help!

one call received this morning uk from 02202. no conversation

wow what a cheeky bit*h she was on the phone, she told me i didnt register my phone, when i did then moaned cos i didnt give her my name, i told her i didnt trust her with all the fraud going around and she told me whatever then hung up. i called o2 they said it is someone from 02 but they are calling about cash i am owed or some bull like that so i told 02 if you want to keep your customers these phone calls should stop

I have received a call from this number this morning..

Yesterday i had a missed call from another number, and when i googled it, and i read about these scammers that pretend to be from O2.

So with that in mind this morning, the guy asked me, to verify some information with him.  Of course i lied to all questions.  Then he asked me who my Internet Provider is.  I said that i dont have internet.  He asked why, and i said that i broke my laptop, and dont have money to buy a new one, hence no internet.

He then said."ah ok" and hang up.  I am now pretty sure they crossed me off their list.

another good excuse would be to pretend you dont speak english... "me no ignlis" :)
