A woman woman with an Indian accent called from 02256800256  today 14 August 2014 and tokld me that I apprently took out a loan with TSB in 2004! I expalined that I don't bank with TSB, never has and never would, but she was adamant that infront of her was a record stating I made a loan to TSB, realising it might be one of those hoax phone calls I put the phone down.

A little while later at 19:15, I got another phone call, again from 02256800256 from a man with an Indian accent telling me that the bank wants to refund the charges I was charged on something the caller cannot explain. I told him repeatedly that I don't understand what he was talking about and when I asked him which bank wants to return the charges to me he became irate and started swearing at me.

I have had to phone my bank and changed my account and credit card details as I have had a call from these people telling me that I was owed money by the utility companys that have over charged me and taking along time trying to convince me they are genuine and it is not a scam but I got upset with them in the end telling them I did not want to proceed when they were asking me to confirm the details they already had and could I verify who I was with the last three digets of my number so that money could go into that account and that there would be a charge for administration.I felt sick and contacted my bank as it all felt wrong. The bank said it didn`t look as if they had took anything and put a stop on the card I just hope I got to the bank before they did. \when I told them No sorry and put the phone down they rang me back trying to covince me they were genuine and really worked on me. I feel a fool and cross aswell as very saddened inside how these people are invading us in our own homes.

Same story as the others. This heavily accented Indian rang my house today and asked for my wife.  She could not hear him clearly but she was suspicious when he ALREADY knew her bank card number - at least the "front" part. She passed the call to me, and I asked the gentleman to clarify the reason for calling for refunds of bill payments, suggested a cheque is preferred and re-asked for company name. He wanted me to return my wife to the phone - I asked him to spell his company name as I could not here through the accent and static. He then call me a Mother F****king C*******ker and hung up. 100% villain, and not a bright one to lose it so easily.  I had not been offensive to him, but he acted as if I had.

Just had 'UK Department of Finance' call saying his name was David and I could get all bank charges refunded in an Indian accent. I questioned who they were and he just repeated UK Department of Finance'  and that I can get refund. Said I have never had bank charges (true) and hung up. Checked 1471 - they are getting smarter as they have now blocked their number so 1471 doesn't have it. Definite scam!!!

Had the same call. Some guy with a strong Asian accent trying to tell me that they had money retrieved by the UK High Court - re: excessive bank charges. What excessive bank charges I don't know.

So anyway he asked how I would like the money: direct into my account or personal cheque. I said personal cheque to which he replied 'a very good choice', but then went on to request my DOB and then wanted bank details.

I told him that he doesn't need those details to send me a personal cheque, he just puts the right name on it and I can pay it into whichever account I choose.

Anyway I went on to tell him I'm not happy about this and that perhaps he could send me a letter with some details before I agree to anything. He continued to rabbit on about how he needed my bank details to confirm who I was.

I then asked for his company's website so that I could do some checks to verify the legitimacy of his organisation and then he said that I wasn't entitled to know that.

Continued to argue and waste his time for another 5 minutes trying to get that information out of him and then told him to go away and put the phone down.
