- am replies to Sheilai been gettin this alday today
- maHusband received same call today twice from 02256800256 re sending a cheque for recalimed bank charges. They were able to quote 12 out of the 16 digits of my long card number which is MY sole account but pushed my husband for the missing 4 in the middle. Claimed their company was called UK claims and Financial Services. My husband asked for the paper work to show this and he kept being fobbed off. I have just had to phone my bank who have blocked my card beacuse the whole thing is suspicious to make sure nothing untoward happens and I now have to get a new card.

- A.LertingI also received a call from this number yesterday at 6.15pm. On answering I found that the caller must have lost the bottle to say anything but there was some background noise so I hung up and dialed 1471 to see who it was. The above number came up. I was rather surprised that these scammers hadn't supressed the number to prevent call back. I got in touch with my cable company and reported it, they said "on no account call back on these numbers as they could be high premium scam lines and you may end up with a very nasty telephone bill. Suggestion,: get a Caller ID phone and put everyone you know on it, I've got one but it's not back-lit, so I have to take a chance on the caller sometimes when the light is poor.
- Mark replies to kasJust got a missed call from these guys. Incidently, I recently bought a holiday through teletext holidays and I also recently used my home number on swift car insurance. Can't think of anyhting else. The number is not recognised when you call it back. I recon they are calling from India. Hope they call me back. I love having fun with these bogus callers. I started screaming down the phone one time that I thought I was having a heart attack, told them to use the adress on their system to call an ambulence for me, let out a wheezy sort of breath out, then hung up. (as they didn't have it I thought that may make them think a little bit)
- BrianGot a silent call from them this evening.
- HalSame as what Rick wrote. This s***bag has been calling me three or four times a day. When I answer he always hangs up. When I don't, he hangs up before my answering machine takes over.
To answer Dr. Martin Feld's question as to what can be done: Do what I often do and tell these vermin scum that you have traced their number and will be arranging to send round a party to beat them up. It really works. - TraceyJust got a call from this number just after 6pm, I have a phone that shows numbers and the numbers I don't know I don't answer....this call wen t to voice mail and for over a minute all I heard was India men speaking and back ground noise. Would be nice if we had a phone number to call to report these scammers :-(

- Mark GReceived a call from this number today at 10.30. The female caller had very broken English, possibly Asian, and called me "Mr Mark". She tried to tell me that a bank was going to refund me some money. She refused to properly identify herself or her organisation, and was obviously trying to read from a wscript, because my questions completely threw her! Eventually she told me to "Go to Hell". Charming company, obviously. I have logged it as a malicious call with my telephone provider.

- DavidFor calls like this I save them to my phone address book and give them a name; Pest1, pest2, etc and the same ringtone, altho I don't use this ringtone for anyone else. I know when I hear it not to answer. Not an entirely satisfactory response but even when you register, you still get these pest calls.
- matt murrayThese people phone from this number trying to tell my son, even though he said I weren't in that they were freezing my accounts??? He was really worried as we were just leaving to go on holiday..
Dirty scumbags from a call centre in Asia- Caller: unknown
- Dumb Blonde replies to Sean"Kevin" just called me with same story. He got sick of me asking him questions and asking him to repeat and explain himself so hung up. Shame!!!!
- jimboHangs up when it goes to answer phone. As most calls on landline are scam ones I never answer the phone. My family know to leave a message or use mobile. What a waste of time having a land line is nothing safe these days.
- HugoJust had a call off "John" from here. When he was forcing his way through his script he asked me to confirm my date of birth and the bank I have an account with. I gave false information back to him and he said "That is correct. I see you have been a customer of XXX for a long time". When I told him I'd just lied to him and that he was lying to me he carried on jabbering away. Asking them to take you off their list doesn't work either (if you tell them to f*** off while you're doing it) because they keep calling back.
I have a feeling they are not regulated by any authority so there isn't much you can do. - Hound DogHave had a call this afternoon from this lot.
Said pretty much as Hugo above, caught them out and called them Phishing Scammers and put the phone down
They called back within minutes, so I was a touch more colourful in speaking to them again.
They then called back again, the supervisor this time (scammer No2 is a better discription)
I really let them have it this time.
Funnily enough no further calls.
I have reported them to the TPS, don't think it will do much good.
Look forward to my next conversation- Caller: UK claims and Financial Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- jim| 1 replyI Indian sounding man called on this number and wanted my personal information, when i asked for his company information he told me to go and F**K myself, these people are common criminals, don't tell them anything
- Unichick1967 replies to MikeThanks they just called me, they asked me about banking and accounts, I didn't tell them anything and I asked them why, the man on the end sounded very indignant! I blew a loud whistle down the phone, very useful for nuisance phone calls!
- MarkI've had similar experiences. We were called a few times from this number. Mostly it was silent. Last one was someone with a foreign accent claiming to be able to refund bank charges. It was obviously some kind of scam so I hung up.
- Caller: Some Scammer
