Had call from same number offering to sort out my computor, they obviousley dont have much of a clue as when I started quizing her about what type of malicious downloads and the file names, she lost her rag and abrubtly told me if I didnt want help it was my problem. I then asked her about her attitude towards people on the phone to which no suprise she hung up.

just received a call from an Asian guy called Michael, said he worked for Microsoft as the Managing Director, in fact when I queried this he said Bill Gates worked for him.  told him I was very impressed that the managing director of a company would be on the phone telling me i had a virus.  when i asked him for a telephone number he gave me a mobile number.  After i got bored I hung up.

Just received a call from 02538020308, just like you. I told him I knew it was a scam and he replied that he could prove that it wasnt! I didnt give him the opportunity to prove his innocence and put the phone down.

Thankfully I have a system called Truecall which 'traps' these nuisance/sales/scam calls when the number is not recognised.  If the caller is legitimate they have an option to leave a message on a remote server, however, more than often they do not leave a message!  Seems that 02538020308 is someone trying to sell you something for your computer!

Back again in 2011, still trying same con! Window Service Centre !!!

Shows how numb this lot are they even use the identical number but with 00253, for the same scam. Looking at most of the threads about this scam on the various numbers it looks like the number of people getting causght is falling.  Tell as many people as possible to help stop it altogether.

Just received a call from this number. Added it to my Truecall's Zap list.

3rd time in 5 days we got a call from this number telling us something is wrong with our computer. Please stop it -there is nothing wrong with our computer.

Now targetting Leicester. Same type of conversation about some kind of virus/error message

Received call from this number today.  I asked 'How many times am I going to receive this call from your company?'  She replied 'Maybe 100'.  I said 'That will be 100 times too many'  She said 'Some people receive it 500 times'.  I asked to be removed from their list.  She said that was not possible.  I terminated the call.

Got the call today, i let it play out he wanted me to type EVENT VWR in the run menu, i typed it up in google it came up scam, i said this to the asian man he said "are you trying to bull crap me, i am not from microsoft and proceded to threaten me and hung up" i dont want to try that code in the computer will probably link to there data base.

My wife had the phone call. The caller saying he is from Microsoft offering to go through my machine step by step to sort the virus.
We now have a second number doing the same thing 02532362020 as well as the 02538020308.
Has someone informed microsoft that this scam is happening in their name?
