These scum are now phoning numbers in the East Lothian (Scotland) and have been fairley active for about 2/3 weeks. "Malcolm" from Pakindistan only managed to get out 'there seems to be a problem with your computer' before I informed him that I am an IT Tech and there is F-all wrong with any of my computers and that if I get the chance to trace him and his tribe of low-life scammers I'll make sure they spend the rest of their pathetic lives in the bowls of the worst prison in Dehli ..... the little bat rastard hung up before I could tell him to go and die.

over the year have had similar 'requests' from 08550700707 and lately from a 00000000  !!  number. Have denied having the internet and always use a Library.

Targetting Essex area now. Just 14771 them.

I was called from 02538 020 308.  When I tried calling back the system said "number has not been recognized.  This has happened a couple of times.

Got 4 calls in 3 days - first one I almost fell for, wanted control of my PC which I (dumb) gave them, but kept my finger on the power button and turned it off as soon as it looked dodgy.  

I told caller 2 & 3  where to get off, then decided that best ploy if called again was to go along and thank them for returning the service call I claimed to log the day before and could they PLEASE GIVE ME THE SERVICE NUMBER TO CONFIRM THEY WERE A BONA FIDE MICROSOFT AGENT?

They soon went - reason to do this is it wastes their time.

They migth get the hint!

I just find it amazing that BT and the like wont block this number!!  Surely they are failing in protecting their customers.  I spoke to Virgin Media and they say they cannto block any number!!  What the hell???!!

It seems that 'phone providers either can't or won't block tthese international calls.  This company are a particular pest and also use the same number with 00 prefix. Had one from that number this morning, "Technical Department about your computer". Told him I spend many hours on "whocallsme" spreading the word about this scam and he hung up.

keep them on the line for as long as possible and run there phone bill up.
when you have had enough just tell them your an IT consultant and they will hang up

My parents keep getting these calls stating they are a PC Service who have detected some holes with their broadband which is allowing it to be broadcast, or words to that effect.

Had 14 missed calls from this number (02538020308) over the last 4 days. Answered this afternoon Asian lady who called me by my name informed me that my pc was infected and it was easy to fix. She asked me to turn on my pc I told her it was broken, she told me to buy a new one and hung up. In Liverpool

I had a call from "Windows technical support". I was unable to find my Start button etc and spun them along until I revealed they could not possibly have had a report on my Windows PC as I run Linux. Would you believe, I had a call later that day from "Linux technical support". LOL

They try to get you to connect to www.ammyy.com and so give THEM remote control of YOUR computer. Never ever trust unsolicited calls from strangers, however helpful they sound.

when I rang this number back, the automated voice said it does exist, if it dosn't exist, then who is using it, and why are they calling from it.  this has happenned on a number of occasions, I am truely fed up with it.

this number is a fraud computer company trying to get access to your computer, they say they work for Microsoft, after checking, Microsoft do not do cold calling, I told them I also worked for Microsoft, they hung up on me, I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UPSET, (NOT).

Had a call from this number (foreign accent) said he could sort problems with my computor. I said that might be a problem I HAVE NOT GOT ONE.he rang off.

Got a call from this number today with someone with an Indian accent claiming that a report had shown my PC to be running slow (due to a virus or malware)  and that his company had been authorised by Microsoft to fix the problem. Asked which version of Windows I had, I replied falsely, 3.1. This did not deter him. I asked how his reputed report of my PC being slow managed to link my phone number did not get any plausible reply.By continuing to play ignorant, managed to use up 10 mins of his time before he abruptly hung up. Maybe he won't bother to call again.  BTW  this means this group of ne'er-do-wells are now trying West Sussex numbers.

Had 2 calls from this number this week, when answered nothing on the line. Logged as malicious call with TalkTalk. I live in London area.

Had a call from this number (again) today, this is around the 30th time they have called.  Various people, male and female call.   Told them for the last time I dont have mircrosoft, Its Mac, she then said "you piece of sh*t" and hung up on me.   Now targeting Tyne and Wear area.

Just had a call from this number from an Asian guy, I think in India, telling me that he's from the British Saver Survey and wanted to ask me some questions.

He actually asked to speak to my Dad but was also happy to speak to me.

He asked me who my energy supplier was and I told him. He then asked how we paid our bills and I told him. Then he asked me to confirm my first name and I then realised that his questions were a bit odd.

I then started asking him questions while also googling the "British Saver Survey" whilst still being on the line and nothing came up so I told him that I was not going to answer any more of his questions. I also heard someone whispering to him in the background.

Not sure what the scam but something wasn't right about the call.
