Rec'd call from this number, line didn't go dead when I picked it up and I knew someone was there but they didn't speak. Mty husband told me to hang up but I decided if they wanted to pay for the call let em!! So I kept tline open, I could hear they were still there as I heard background noise, when I coughed loudly down phone they eventually hung up.

I keep getting a call for this number, a couple of times a day.  Have no idea who it is and cannot get through when dialled

I live in Scottish Borders and had a missed call from this number. It amazes me how they obtain number as always care who we give it to!!

Now getting calls in the Blackpool area of this phone number . Just read some of the comments this person needs to get a life and stop being a pain to the public.

got call from this number on 17th april claiming to be comp maintenance dept about downloaded viruses this is a scam trying to get you to by software that no one needswhen phoned back no answer

just had a call asking someone else ad they told me to [***] of and put the phone down try to phone the number up nd did not got dead line

Second call in 2 days. Asian sounding woman saying she was from Windows. Said I had various Virusses and wanted me to log on to computer. Put phone down.

Got a call from 02538020308 saying they were from Windows, asked for my PC information as i have a virus. WOW windows customer service is on the up phoning individuals about their PC's.

Load of crap told them to get lost i live in Essex so looks like this is more wide spread now.

Phone rang and no message left. I dialled 1471 and got this number 02538020308 !!

How do these people get our telephone numbers?

Just recived a call from this number Andy (very odd accent cross between bangladeshi and old style voice synthesiser) from Windows operating service....wish I'd played along a bit now! South Scotland

I've had a couple of calls from this number and was suspicious straight away. I played them along pretending that I was really concerned, thanked them for calling me and they were so pleased with me for co-operating with them! But before they could  even ask for any information from me I asked them if they would like a visit from the Police...haha, they hung up!

Had another call today from them...same old story, so this time I played them again just to waste their time. I eventually told them that I found it really hard to believe that they had detected a virus on my computer as I hadn't got one; the guy said "it's on your laptop", so I said " a laplop"....hung up immediately! lol

There is no message and seems to be no-one on the other end. I'm getting really angury now as this is happening 4-5 a day. Is there anyway to block this number?

Seems this number is now targeting Carlisle!
However they are silent calls . . . .

getting this call in grantham lincolnshire 2 calls in 24hrs

Been inandated with calls from phone number 02538020308 last call was today at 10.05am 20th April 2012 this is happening 2 or 3 times a day!
Would appreciate any advice, or blocking this type of call.

PS Just received another call at 10.42am from the above number as I type.

I see the last set of messages about this number were in December 2010.

Well, they are back!

Call this pm from "Andrew Michel" (right!) about a virus I have through Windows.
I immediately said I would redirect him to the local police station, pressed a few keys, and ....he hung up.
I tried to ring back but the number not rcognised through BT. How can that be?

Press a few keys and say you are redirecting them to the local police station.

Get hold of an Acme Thunderer whistle, (PE teacher type), and give it a good blast down the phone. Should pop an eardrum or two!
