They have been calling me 1-3 times a week for a few months now. It doesn't make any sense.

I've been getting a call almost every day around the same time and when I've tried calling back I get the really cheesy message saying that they are not available right now, it doesn't even give you the option to leave a message.  Maybe their staff need to have a look at this site and get the hint that if we're not answering then we're not interested.

I am sick of these calls I have told them that I am not interested and I got 3 calls for them today I did not answer the first and second call because the phone had caller I'd and could tell who was calling and the third call was a private number so I answer it and it was them... sneaky they are and annoying

This kind of marketing really sucks - it is counter-productive as people just get really really annoyed and are LESS likely to support these charities. I have emailed them at contact@2evolve.com.au telling them exactly what I think of their marketing strategies and waste of people's time and surely, the charities' resources!

You'd think after days (if not weeks!) of these people trying to call me numerous times a day on home, mobile and work phones, and me not answering the calls as I have better things to do that they'd give up.  Surely it's costing them more money than they're making.  And like another person said - they need to be aiming higher than me if they want money!

One person made the argument, just take the call.  Why the hell should I?  I have my own problems to deal with - [***] to whoever this Charity is (BTW I donate to multiple charities, not huge amounts, but something so I'm not anti-charity, just anti-harassment!).

I've been getting bombarded with calls from this number (and their other numbers) and specifically told them to stop calling me quite a while ago. I've now asked them once again & also reported them. Unfortunately, I realise they have charity exempt status as far as the Do Not Call Register goes, but they are abusing their status and if enough people complain, perhaps something will be done.

I am getting the same phone calls. My phone has rung from this number everyday at 3:45pm for about 2 weeks....until today! They called me about 1/2 hour ago (12:30) so I thought I might hop online to find out who it is.  I received a letter from Greenpeace a while ago, although I have not donated to them before I may have donated to an affliated charity. So I think I will stick with those rather than the harassing phonecall charity (Who by the looks of things might be: Greenpeace / Amnesty / Doctors Without Borders...)

Well, my last (third) email asking 2evolve to stop calling failed. I've sent them another and also sent an email directly to Amnesty complaining about the behaviour of the telemarketing company they are outsourcing to. I thought Amnesty was against human rights violations !

I have received calls from these guys too. I did answer the phone. It was Childfund - i sponsor a child with them. Apparently they call for lots of big charities like Childfund.I spoke to the girl and she was great. Nothing like the calls you get from typical run of the mill telemarketers. She was really warm and bubbly and knew so much about Childfund. I was impressed. So I'd definitely recommend just picking up the phone if you can.

after readng this, i also asked her why people's emails and messages aren't responded to? She said they work for around 10 charities and that sometimes it's really hard to find people in their data? She said its really hard sometimes when people don't leave names or other info. Fair enough I guess.

I too have had numerous calls from the same number. I contacted 2 Evolve and I had to give them the name of the organisation that I had donated money to - it was WSPA - the World Society for the Protection of Animals. I will be emailing them and telling them not to give my name and number out to anyone again.

First pologies to everyone who feels harassed and annoyed by our calls. I happen to work for 2evolve and I am shocked to hear the complaints here. In this comment I hope to go some way to explaining why we are calling and the sorts of calls we make.

We are NOT a commission based company. We are NOT a big cold calling operation. We make calls to supporters of existing charities - to thank, to update, to check details, and often to seek extra support for our charities vital work. Most of the charities we represent do life-saving work - they are high-profile and well-respected international and local charities who do amazing work for their benificiaries. The great thing is that as fundraisers we enable that work - every time we raise a dollar it is contributing in a massive way to real and lasting social change - whether it be in the area of humanitarian aid, the environment, or animal welfare. Each year we raise millions of dollars - something we are all intensely proud of.

We do that through calls. Inpsiring calls. Warm calls. Not the typical telemarketing calls you'd expect because we're telefundraisers, not telemarketers, and we employ some of the most intelligent, committed people in the world. We are not sales people looking for our next big commission. In fact, no caller receives a commission for any of the funds they raise.

Recently legislation was introduced that dictated we must broadcast our number. Unfortunately with the current restraints of our phone system - we are a prdominantly outbound call centre, not an inbound one - it would be impossible to juggle incoming calls from supporters returning numbers whilst we continue to make outbound calls. It would also be impossible and wasteful to leave messages because we could never guarentee someone is there to take your call. As such, we setup a voicemail which stresses that "we'll try to call you again". We do this because it's the most effective way to manage our calls - and the most efficient, cost-effective way we can handle our campaigns for our charity parnters. Sometimes this means we won't be able to contact you if rarely answer your phone.

If you receive one or two of our calls, I implore you to please try and answer next time. If you seriously do not want to receive calls, please email contacts@2evolve.com.au, and we will attempt to remove you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.

Before you do email to ask to be taken off the list, however, please spare a thought for our team. We are fundraisers and support staff for charities and we want to make sure that where possible all of our available time goes towards this goal rather administrative tasks, such as removing names from our calling lists. For those of you who fundamentally dislike and disagree with telemarketing calls, please consider the big picture: telefundraising is vital for charities and an extremely effective fundraising medium. Finally, apologies again to those who feel annoyed and harassed. This is certainly not our intention - and it's why we only call people who support or have supported a charity we work with. Without sounding too corny - we're just out to save the world, one call at a time.

Who cares Anon?  Stop calling.  You're wasting my time and yours.  If I wanted to donate, I would.  But I don't.  So bugger off.

I've been getting these calls for months, interupting me at work calling multiple times a day and at home in the evening when I'm trying study or relax after work, and its just not on, so I have been just ending the calls. The numbers are from a place called 2evolve (0281149700) and it is a fund raising organisation, but there is a limit as to the amount of time someone is allow to persistent harass you so, I have emailed them and insisted that they remove my number from their call rotation immediately!

This is a great website. I've also recieved numerous missed calls from this number. WOO HOO for google knowing who is was.

I never answer calls I don't recognize or am expecting, especially from interstate. Re: Rebecca's comment, I do not support any charities at this time, so it IS a telemarketing type call. When I did support a charity earlier this year, they never called just to say thank you or to "raise awareness"; they called to ask me to increase my regular donation.

I keep getting calls from this number during the day while I am at work. I get at least 3 calls a day from them.

This marketing tactic is appalling, most of us getting hassled by these people are good people that donate to charities, which is why we are on their list. Alienating those that are most likely to be charitable is not a smart move. Two years ago I gave $50 (a relatively small donation) to WSPA and since then they have sent me approximately 10 high gloss brochures costing them money that could be much better spent, and I specifically requested not to receive any marketing material from them. I have received over 20 calls in the past 3 weeks from this number and I answered one saying I was not interested but they persist. From now on I'll stick to the charities that don't use this organisation.
