- Annoyed CustomerDaily calls from this number. Female stating she is from Optus Customer Service. I have told them that I am quite happy with my current plan and do not wish to receive any further calls, but they are ignoring my request and continue to ring each day.

- TormusI found a message on my phone that this number had called - the called left no voice mail. The phone was switched off at the time of the call. However, the text continued to say :for more information . . . free call 147 from your mobile phone. A little tip I might offer to those who get these calls. I record the number in my phone against the name 'Nuisance'. I have 6 such numbers Nuisance 1, Nuisance 2 etc. When the phone rings and I see 'Nuisance' appear, I never answer it. I simply press the red button to stop the call. The caller will not bother to leave a message. That is the best I can offer.
- S replies to Amanda WI agree that the calls are annoying. Having said that, I do work in the telemarketing industry and it is not allowed for telemarketing to leave messages on an answering machine.
- chris replies to Johnif you let it go or answer the call you wont get any one on the line I have no idea why we are getting these
calls all the time and the police cant do any thing about it either
just open the line and then hang up on them
that's what I do any way - naomievery other day. i've never answered and you'd think they'd get the picture
- Chris replies to AmandaI jusrt had a call from this number and its optus trying to put you on a plan

- Amanda replies to matt| 1 replyOptus dont sell laptops or computers so it is safe to say it is a scam. I have been getting these call reguarly and dont pick up but i accidently answered it tonight without thinking and it was an indian lady asking for my husband, i said she had the wrong number and she hung up. I am glad i know who is calling now.
- beyond a jokeI am also quite fed up with these phone calls. I have been recieving them at all times of night and day. 3 so far this week. I answered the first one but they hung up on me which was strange. The second one i didnt answer no voice mail was left i called it back and the number has been disconnected. Just now i recieved another one not answering it again they left a voicemail about 5 mins long of just typing and noise in the background.
All very strange!- Caller: optus
- RobYes also received calls from this number a few times and no message. When I finally answered it was Optus marketing offering free downloads for Optus TV to my iphone. Seemed legitimate as they had my details on file and didnt seek any additional info

- SarahCalled at 8am when I was still asleep, a lady with a strange accent told me I was very good at managing my plan (true, never go over). She then proceeds to tell me about Optus smart safe (which is appar real, from a quick Google search). She asked what OS system I had and asked to verify my surname and dob. It seems harmless mostly but after reading this thread I'm not sure.
- Caller: Optus

- NetteKeep getting missed calls, no message, wasn't sure who it was...thanks for letting me know it's optus as I have a service with them, bill is all paid up so must be selling something

- Philip LeanGot several missed calls from that number - 0390096600- on my mobile over the last few days. I tried to ring back but it was a disconnected number.
One of my family answered it tonight and John from Oceania Customer Interaction Services wanted to offer a better Optus plan.
I called back the number showing on my phone log tonight. I got a recorded message saying "If you want to remove yourself from this distribution list press 1" . Since I wanted to talk to someone to find out what is happening I did not press 1. The system at their end seemed to go into a loop and kept asking me to press 1. Who knows what would have happened if a had pressed one.
My Android phone has an option to set "Reject list" so that number is now in my "Reject list"
Tomorrow I am going to contact Optus and find out if they admit any connection to these pests.- Caller: Oceania Customer Interaction Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KateThese idiots from optus marketing have called over 7 times in the past week - I do not want a new phone or a new contract and have told them, so can they just go away!
- Caller: Optus Marketing
- Nathan DobbsJust googled this number had a missed call
- TakayaCall Optus. Tell them you no longer want to receive these calls, and ask to have your number placed on the 'Do Not Call Register'.
This will reduce the amount of calls you receive from other telemarketers.
Adding the number to a 'Don't Answer' contact or simply ignoring it won't have nearly as positive an effect.- Caller: Oceania Customer Interaction Services on behalf of Optus
