    its not optus! its a thing called ocis which is some marketing thing for optus, however i searched optus ocis and it came up on the internet with things like "fake optus" so if you want call optus or go to an optus shop and tell them about the nomber and they should remove you from the list

    yeah its optus, i got a phone call from them last night and they were asking how my service was going. and he told me i went over my cap but i checked and i haven't and he asked me how the phone is and the service.

    after i told him that the phone is [***] and the service is [***] and i dont get service in my house he said he would do some tests and call back in 5 mins.

    Just got a call from them, saying because i'm on a $59 plan i am eligible for a special rate on the home fone zone crap. the special rate being $5 per month, which is the actual rate! i told him i wasnt interested vecause optus should fix their coverage issues instead of trying to make people pay for patch up jobs, So he then said he wanted to give me for free"TV now" a new mobile TV product, so i said ok, then he started to ask for all my details, so i said no i'm not giving you those, you should have it all there. I asked him to ask me my secret question for my pin and he didnt know it. It all seemed like a very sophisticated scam to get my details. BEWARE!

    I've been called twice in the last 2 days.
    They talk for 10 minutes and offer a lot of free stuff - TV for 45 min, Safe cloud storage, premium voicemail and then start asking details like FULL NAME, DOB and EMAIL ADDRESS.
    I said you have this all, they said only Customer Service has these details.
    So I hanged up. They seemed to only know my age and plan ($79 cap).
    Optus use my DOB as security and email me my bill every month.

    It is optus...i've had this number come up a few times so I answered it yesterday.  They were offering mobile TV and MMS voicemail free for a month.  I took the MMS offer and got text from Optus today to say it was connected.  Will update this message at the end of the month if it was a scam!

    Hi same think, optus fellow, asking me why i was going over my plan. Yet he couldnt name the handset I was using with the plan nor could he give my full name. Scammer for sure.

    Called the number back as I had heaps of missed calls from them . had option to leave name and number on a message and they remove you from the list. have done that so will see. Seems strange my number is already on the do not call register for telemarketers

    Just started getting these calls this week.  I don't answer, and, since Optus are apparently unable to block individual numbers (they told me this when I was having harrassing phone calls), I just set up a silent ringtone, and save all spam phone #s to the same contact (which I've named "[***]"!) with the custom silent ringtone.  Saves the calls bothering me at all.

    Just received a missed call from this number, Seems like they call me every week. Annoying thing is they don't leave a message. What's the use of having a voicemail if they don't leave a message?

    I've started to receive calls from 03 9009 6600. Didn't answer, no voice message left but did phone back out of curiousity, and it is supposedly some company called OCIS supposedly representing Optus. I left my mobile number but not my name to remove me from their call list and politely told them my mobile number is also listed on the Do Not Call Register.  

    I am a current customer of Optus with no concerns or issues with my plan or service. But check out the ACMA site as of 25/8/2011 Optus has to improve its compliancy in relation to the Do Not Call Register and has to provide monthly detailed reports on all marketing calls, even those made by telemarketing companies on their behalf.

    Been getting missed calls from this number for the past week. I picked up yesterday and didnt say anything.  After about 20 seconds they hung up.  Checked this site out today.  And I will follow JLM's lead and add a silent ringtone to the number, Thanks!

    Have received several calls on my mobile number from from 0390096600. When I answer, the caller hangs up .... very annoying. On investigation, I discovered thsat my number was already listed as one not to call. Why, then, am I receiving these calls?

    Been getting lots of these calls, missed calls I don't answer from 0390096600. Not surprised if it is Optus as I have an optus phone. Bloody annoying as they ring during the night sometimes and no messages left.

    Someone from this number keeps on prank calling me, and i am so sick of it. They leave messages in my voicemail that are just blank, no one talking and then hang up!

    They've been calling me every day for a few weeks now, starting to get to the point where I feel like answering just to tell them where to go.

    i called Optus to have the number and all telemarketing calls from them blocked. i was told it will take up to 48 hours - the blocked number called again showing as blocked which i answered, now stating 4-6 weeks. I've got my options now option to going to another provider.
