It's Optus sales.. from FIJI ..!!

This number and another has been calling me for nearly a year. All I do now is answer the phone put it down and continue doing what I was doing.

They have called me numerous times and asked personal info like where I live and [***]. I have answered twice and hung up eventually. If it is something serious I will wait until I get a legit contact and not some scam [***]. I have already read on numerous sites that this number is a scam. I worked in a call centre. And this is [***].

Are you kidding?
Optus should provide a service. Not a harrassment system.
All everyone is saying. Is that if they say go away the first time or don't answer after 7 tries then give up. It's a pain in the ass. People have a life and most aren't revolved around talking to a telephone operator that you can't even begin to understand about pointless things.

I even said look this is not my phone it isn't even under my name. And the silly lady continued to harass me about where I live, what my name is. And so forth.

Please leave a message to identify yourself if you are going to ring me on several occasions.

I answer the calls, but all I get is two seconds of silence before they hang up. How is calling me several times a week and hanging up after two seconds of silence any sort of marketing?

Been getting missed calls from this number regularly for months and I have also been ignoring the calls if I happen to have the phone on me. Whatever it is if it is not important enough to leave me a message then it is not important enough for me to return the call.

I also have an Optus account, which is only part way through it's contract term and is paid up, it is too early in the contract for them to be offering me a free upgrade or anything.

I have been tempted to answer it then put the phone in a drawer for a while so they can talk to their own echo til the get the message.

It's been driving me absolutely wild! They ring every day, always at lunchtime, and never leave a message. I never answer calls without caller ID, but this morning I bit the bullet and answered it, only to be greeted by silence. I got so mad I blocked the number.

So it's Optus, huh? Problem is, I'm with Optus. Guess they have ways of pushing through blocks...*sigh*

Whoa. So we're idiots because we don't like being harrassed by you? Professional attitude, guys. NOT. I'm seriously contemplating switching from Optus now.

I had a missed call from this number last night, if they ring again I'm not going to answer it.

I had a missed call from this number on 13/12/2010.  I answered a call from this number this morning, but there was nothing on the line, so I ended the call before the automation could kick in an an operate come on line.

I have recieved a few calls from this number recently, I generally dont answer if I dont know the number because I figure if it is important they will leave a message.... they never do.
I am with Optus and have been for 11 years with no problems. until now.

Debating answering and getting angry, or just continuing to ignore it.... depends on how frequent and long it continues for.

Im sure that Optus would love to read that comment.....

You should answer and keep them on the line just put the phone down and run up the international time :)

Although I guess it's probably free or next to free for Optus

How do i stop them calling me, they call me anywhere up to 3 times a day and have been for almost 2 weeks.....

Im sick of it, i stopped answering but they just won't get the hint!

I got 7 of these calls.  I spoke to them once and asked not to call again.  The buggers continue to call.  My next step is to report them to the Telecommunications Ombudsman, who can deal with them appropreately

Caller from 03 9009 660 rang my daughters mobile asking for me and said I had given them her number to contact me.
Complete lie and my daughter said she didn't know anyone by my name. I don't know what shonky crap these guys are up to have called the number and they don't receive calls.

i get these calls all the time, probably about twice a day, last year i would get them calling non stop every day, but because i haven't answered their calls ever they seem to back away more. iv been told not to answer their calls as they might be taking money off you as soon as you pick up, so it's advised to save the number as 'SCAM DO NOT ANSWER' and just leave it to ring.
