    Had a call today, and same thing and they asked me if I still live at my old address (from approx 3 years ago). I asked them why she didn't know my current address when they send me a bill every month and what was her number so I could call her back, and she told me to look it up on the internet.

    Something sus going on with this bunch.

    It smacks of a con to me. Even Optus customer service/marketing isn't that terrible.

    They asked me about my internet plan, how much it cost me and how much data I was getting for the price. Optus have that information and shouldn't need to ask me. So I got suspicious, and having thought about it I reckon they've gotten my name and number and were mining for more info.

    I say it's a scam.

    Totally agree...they were an 02 number. I now get calls every second day now for the past month. I have them constantly ring me every second month..so annoying and harassing

    without fail this number calls me everyday and its happened over the past 2 months. Its ridiculous! You would think they'd get the hint that everyday when they call and I reject them that I'm never gonna answer! Ffs!

    I answered and the telemarketer, who was very polite, said she was calling on behalf of Optus (complete lies) - but she was trying to make me change my internet and phone plan with the chance of getting a free Laptop..

    It's rubbish - don't fall for it.
