they use mobiles because its cheaper, pay as you go sim card top it up 30 quid and you get unlimited calls to land line numbers no brainer really. they have there own installers and customers can pay anyway they like! i think finance is even an option although i don't know too much about that side of things as i just worked in the marketing side of things. they got a steady amount of complaints whilst i worked there usually about harassing people. i left because it was a terrible working environment pay was good but they drain you of every ounce of your well being!

i worked there about 8 months ago the managers wore shirts sometimes ties and all of the "bite makers" cold callers wore casual clothes, about 90% of staff were udner 25 when i worked there.

If you really are doing Research for BBC Watchdog the big questions you should be asking are about the combined spectacular incompetence of the TPS/DMA and the Information Commissioner in not urgently targeting this company with a Stop Notice ordering them not to make further calls.  If they breach that Stop Notice repeatedly it is then a simple job for the ICO to impose a large fine on them in the same way that happened with Nev Willshire's The Call Centre of the BBC Three tv series.

Instead the useless TPS/DMA is repeatedly failing to capture complaints from the public about this company and pass them on to the ICO because of a glaring defect in their reporting page where they only ask for the company phone number and name and do not ask for address, website details etc.   This means that because Green Energy/British Solar always uses unregistered mobiles that are changed daily or weekly the useless ICO then just writes the complainant a letter saying that they have been unable to trace the calling company at all.  Only after I made a great fuss to Mr Arthur [***] (TPS Assistant Manager or some such) that they were failing to act against this company did he write them a letter, to their Shenfield address, telling them not to go on breaching the TPS and make a report about the firm to the ICO.  But because of the constantly new mobile SIM number issue the ICO is failing to see this as a problem company as they do all their targeting by numbers of calls from a particular number and it won't look to them or the TPS as though thousands of calls per week are being made by a single TPS violating company.

Watchdog really needs to focus on why the TPS/DMA and ICO are so useless in protecting the public from these hard core TPS abusers who are flagrantly and deliberately breaching the law and go out of their way to make it hard for the ICO's usual monitoring system (noting a lot of TPS complaints against one calling number) to work.

This is not a credible post. It looks as if it has been written by somebody working for the 'Energy Care Department' - even down to the spelling mistakes! (...preformed miracles).

Robert Jackson no longer works for the official green energy company all the recent bad feedback is from a company he has set up to discredit his previous employer which is based in high road his office is set up in Shenfield who bully lie and rob customers he is a fraudster and has done it to many other companies and has been convicted previously for it.

As of Monday this week I left the company calling itself "British Solar".
When I first started there I was under the impression that I was doing something legal, until I decided to do a little research on the compant.
I never thought that I was cold calling, I was under the general impression that I was helping someone out there save money, boy was I wrong.
I'd like to apologize to anyone who may have received a call from me as I now understand that I'm pestering people who don't wish to be bothered..
Here is some information..
There are 4 "offices" they are all one building, just on different floors.
Bradley Chapman, he is a loud mouth rude sexist pig.
The offices are based in Brentwood. 137-141 Kings Road, Brentwood, Essex, CM144DR.
They use telephones with Virgin sim cards in and they do this because its 'free landline calls'.
They target 50-80 year olds, and won't target people over that ages because 'they might have lost there marbles'.
They have a saying there "Never pitch a [***]". Basically never speak with a woman, only the husband.
They're rude in there, they don't care if you have just lost someone or have lost someone in the past (whom you are asking for) they still expect you to make a 'pitch'.

I am genuinely truly sorry to anyone who receives these calls as they are downright scams. And I wish I'd never become a part of it.
Need anymore questions answered just ask.

Thanks for being so honest and open about the scammers-if only I had know I would not have been scammed in the first place. Just how the get away with it is beyond me with all the legislation/law etc.
I have tried EVERY avenue and reported to the police,trading standards of Essex,REA.MCS and still they trade!

im a employe at the call centre 17 years of age its very unprofessinal and im not happy i got recruited the day i went for the interview...that same day i was learning the script i was told 200 a weekk basic + commision i now know its 80 a week plus com 9-6 thats under 1.90 a hour ridiculous mon-sat my fellow employes havnt been paid yet after a month when we get paid weekly theres alway exscuses we have 3 floors of offices in brentwood kings road essex no sings on doors ect very shady we us pay as you go Vodaphone sim cars in our phones that many managers snap offten all the boss/managers think there gods gift there lying slimmy buisness men who i belive are running a scam here we as canvaseres ring the contacts up and speak to the homeowner whos between age 50-80 our job role is too geet you to awnser 4 simple questions 1.Age 2.Are You The Homeowner 3.Retired 4.How Many People Actualy Live There we tell you we check the system if you qualify for solar and if you do we will call back and if you dont we take you off the system...NEWS FLASH we dont every homeowner qualifys we dont check our system there is no system all we have is paper with 50+numbers addreses ect on it once you awnser the questions we give the details to our boss who rings you to book a opointment to try sell you solar even tho weve told you our jobs to see if you qualify there unorganised and dont like smart kids like me who are on to them they all use FAKE NAMES too and some are on DRUGS  do not be fooled im very good at my job but i dont any good Karma heading my way tying to minipulate elderly people into something that they dont need...people there are very rude to the customers and were told never to take NO as a awnser we have scrips we read from...each person calls 200-300 contacts a day if anyone has had dodgy solar panles or there 2nd option if you already have solar AIR TO AIR if anyones expirienced the unprofessinalism or anything get back to me ASAP i will take these people down myself im on the inside and can potentially be a danger to these TRADING STANDARS should be informed to conduct a investigatio hope that awnsers any questions anything else you need to know reply back thank you these people dont realise the aggro and potential damage they can cause

these bunch of spineless c...s need a visit as they are threatening my parents with death threats at least 30 times a day, each time from different mobiles all starting with 07847 and the calls are getting worse, the threats are actually laughable as they are from boys just out of school trying to act like men, the police are not interested neither are the phone company, but guess they will be when the threats are from us face to face with the little bunch of Essex boys, what a sad sad life these idiots must have if they get their kicks out of threatening oap's on the phone
