I was a rep for this company, in one of its various reincarnations, british solar.
They are a dodgy company using illegal tactics to fleece older people of there savings. They do not offer any credit for there extremely expensive products as barclays wouldnt touch a company like them. And any decent renewables company will be backed by hies, who I had never heard of until I started at aanothr company.
Oh and they didnt pay me my last weeks wages either, ill be catching up with bradley chapman in the car park one evening after work very soon :)

Is this forum a rant against bonifie companies that employ sales and marketing staff or are you all just anonymous idiots that wish to remain anonymous. Why dont you all register yourselves and put your real names and a real contact number and lets see if you are all true devote people.

This company is one you ought dodge with your life (whilst clutching onto your money).

I was hired by them last summer. I came in for an interview, and by the end of the day I was already working for them. They take in at least 100 new people every week. (Which by the way tells you how many people leave each week, as they only have 2 rooms accommodating 80 people max.)

Their script is terrible. The first thing you ask the person is 'how are you today?' Like you are going to answer the phone to a stranger and tell them about  your day! My manager told me one too many times to ensure that the person is 1. between 50 and 80 (so they are old, forgetful and vulnerable) 2. have no husband, and if they do to avoid them (so the wife gets tied in to the whole idea of saving so much money!) and 3. they have a roof or a garden or a garage, or anything that some dodgy installer can put a solar panel on.

Targets are extremely high, and if you don't meet them you just don't get paid!!!!! This is what forced me to leave. I'm simply not paying £80 a week on transport, working 9 hours a day 6 days a week, to not earn a penny from it!!!!!!

We are told to hang up if we are asked any questions about who we are, the green energy company is N O T 'working in conjunction with the government' (oh how I do not miss saying that line 300 times a day...) We are also not discouraged from being rude, it is more cheered on by surrounding colleagues if you give a good whip to someone on the phone. During my time there I never spoke down to someone on the phone, I hated it. If someone didn't seem interested I would cut their misery short and apologise for wasting their time, wish them a nice day and hang up. If someone was rude to me however, I would hang up. I don't need to listen to that!

Their 'data' is just photocopied phone book sheets, which aswell as being illegal is totally out of date! A lot of people I called hadn't lived at that address for over 10 years! I'm not sure if the manager there was photocopying their nans old phone books from the 80s. Oh and by the way, that manager is an awful man. Short northerner, swearing at every opportunity putting everyone under pressure by telling them how rubbish they were at their jobs.

Please I beg of you, tell your older relatives, tell them to tell their friends, do not confirm your address to these people, do not arrange an appointment and for gods sake do not agree to buy solar from them.

Oh and I forgot one thing, as I was working in the summer and it was mid-late 20s'c all day. The windows barely opened and there were no fans. We were told to stand if we didn't have a lead, as some were standing for so long a girl fainted!

I really hate this place. I truly hope someone closes them down!

The fit tarriff is set at

14.9p for every unit gen'd (generation tarriff)
And 4.64p for 50% of every unit gen'd.

added to this you having the savings on youre electricity bill.

The govrnmt rates are reduced as more people add solar to there property.

I worked for them as well. Used sim cards from mobiles and its not good. I got sacked for telling my manager Scott he was a con artist [***]. DO NOTBUY its a scam

I just want to point out, to all whom who would like this company to "crash".
What a load of rubbish I've just read !!! The people that are saying they worked here and hated every moment of it, you only hate it because u simply couldn't do it and earned £0.
This company does not make death threats and is actually a professional company. YES we are a Young company with young people working here, it's a bit crazy. But I have ben here over two years now and a canvasser of mine told me to look on here at the crap that's been written!!

This company is a SHAM. They target vulnerable people whilst off their heads on cocaine and cannabis. They all look like slags who prob get arrested every weekend. Everybody in New North House hates them, and wants them out. How they can target elderly vulnerable people is beyond me. they are scum, lowlife individuals with no self respect. Most of them travel to Brentwood from the depths of despair in London. They love drug dealing so come to New North House if you want to buy some gear. In reply to you Glenn. There is two different companies being spoke about here so get your facts right before you ruin a decent established companies reputation !!!! New north house is not us.

Having done the rounds working for envirosolar, green energy co and a few other solar companies, I'd like to clear a few things up...

The managers - All total w4nkers. Wannabe wolf of wall street types.
The scripts - bloody fantastic if in the right hands, and literally straddling the line between being "economical" with the truth and outright lies.

It isn't a SCAM as such, but it does pray on the vulnerable, it does rely on pressure and creating urgency, and it is all a bit amoral imo.

It IS a good earner, £500 a week is easily acheiveable, but, leave thy morals at the door.

Hence why I left the place a long time ago !

Suggest that you divert calls to your mobile and invest in an APP such as Automatic Call Recorder. This will capture their unprofessional efforts to part you from your hard earned cash which you can then share with the Telephone Preference Service at tps@dma.org.uk

You might also want to share on social media as well as the traditional popular media - lets then see how keen they are to continue with their unsolicited calls
