I am not defending this company or this person i am simply stating that we should not be accusing anyone of committing a CRIMINAL act without evidence of a CRIME being committed. The RECC certainly should not being making accusations on public forum i look forward to their response.

Don't forget their trainer who reported directly to bradley Chapman encouraged staff to say they'd almost knocked a child over to get their foot in the door.

Does this sound acceptable to you?

Because where I come from it does not.

Bradley Chapman should consider his suitability for this industry I think. And probably more besides.

Can't believe this character Bradley Bluetooth Chapman thinks he can preside over the business like he did and just run away when BBC come after him ....

It woz his practices that created the business that sold solar to people in their 80's which would need to live to 100 to get their money back.

Brad Chapman is now at Harlow running Brite Solar UK. Don't worry. Rogue Traders and the watchdog Crew have his new address!! Watch this space.!!!!!

I thought it was alright really, 2  leads a day, paid weekly, 10% commission plus bonus, great atmosphere, good money and lots of fun! it was a bit aggressive but no where near as bad as some other firms iv worked for like zenith windows and kitchens direct mind you i think they have shown up on watchdog too!  firm was around for 2 or 3 years i think and must been doing 5 or 6 jobs a day so i make that at least 2000 - 3000 jobs but i guess you can't keep everyone happy all of the time. they did a hatchet job on that rep filmed in that house he's actually lovely bloke, i guess if you film anyone for 2 hours and edit the worst 2 minutes you can make anyone look bad, same for reps in the office 1 week of footage edited into 5 minutes cut out all the nice stuff and keep all the nasty stuff and you have yourself a rogue company. they were definitely expensive but iv worked for more expensive solar firms before. i wouldn't say they targeted the elderly anymore than any other firm as all solar firms go and see the over 40s or 50s as they are the people who buy solar panels. I'm working for a firm now that sells i big system for over 15k but il be keeping an eye out for matt allright this time. i think they sacked about 100 -150 people on the last day so you should find some angry sole to help you with your rogue follow up story unfortunately that won't be me

£8,500 for a heating system in watchdog that was ineffective. The customer got his Boiler fixed in the end for less than £100. Not sure his bradley sleeps at night. If the business was legit they wouldn't have run away after watchdog filmed. They'd have faced the music, headed it off, and battled on. The fact they ran away says it all if you ask me.

    BBC Watchdog
British Solar Renewables are delighted that BBC Watchdog exposed the activities of British Solar and that this rogue trader has now ceased trading, British Solar Renewables design and develop large scale solar farms and should not be mistaken for the company highlighted by the BBC who were installing domestic PV systems. British Solar Renewables are currently seeking legal recourse for ‘Passing Off’ and damage to our reputation.

I heard from a reliable source that british solar was owned by british solar renewables and as soon as watchdog showed they denied all knowledge of its ownership, BSR dealt with commercial and solar farms and BS dealt with domestic sales, can anyone confirm this? Whether you own them or not they are in a different market and a different name therefore recourse for passing off would be tricky, oh and they are rogues who probably won't pay you even if you do win...

No that's not the case. British solar was owned by Robert Jackson and bradley Chapman and there is a case for passing off. Rogue traders onto Brite sun UK now the latest venture.

Yeah I heard that as well, Brit solar was owned by British solar renewables but then they dumped it when the [***] hit the fan.

Considering this company was supposedly a 'rogue' company there doesn't appear to be a single disgruntled customer or ex member of staff posting anything negative on here. I read previously that it had 2000 - 3000 customers and 100 - 150 staff that got sacked on the last day. If it was so bad why are they not ranting about how unhappy they are..? If you read any other forum on any company whether it's British gas, talk talk, or any medium / large sized company you will find 100s of furious customers. Something doesn't smell right to me, if it's so bad where are all the unhappy people?

There's plenty of negative press but British solar is a new name. They were the green energy company. Google that you'll read horror stories of staff using pay as you go mobiles to threaten customers and smoke drugs behind the kinds road offices. Re unhappy customers watchdog have details of 67 complaints.

Please don't for one minute think British solar or bradley Chapman were not rogues. Watch the BBC watchdog show. Staff pretending to be paid by the government for an hour and then being told to pretend to knock children over to get their foot in the door etc.! Then selling kit worth £3000 for £8500 to people in their 80's. Watchdog only get involved when there are dozens of complsints. Daily mirror ran a story earlier this year. Trading standards building a case against Chapman.

I read on Twitter Robert Jackson had £60,000 of refunds to process when he shut it down. What's that say! Also if Chapman and co had nothing to hide why shut up shop and run away to Harlow? I'd be defending myself on TV and having happy customers provide watchdog testimonials. Also if they were legit watchdog wouldn't have shocking video of them ripping people off would they bradley?

Read the daily mirror expose and watch the watchdog filming if you are in any doubt as to the morals of Chapman and this firm.
