just had 2 of these calls asked police for guidance advised not to respond under no circumstanses

had a message left on my 1571 on xmas day!! asking me to call the number... my mum had also rec'd a text message on the same day from the same number.... havn't responded to either... glad i found this site.

Just got a computerised voice message on my BT land line stating it was reading out a text message, something about wishing me a happy new year and thanks for my custom etc and if I want more details call back on 07953966066. So I just dumped the call. After checking the number in my mobile address book to see if it was from somebody I know,it wasn't there, I then checked here and it seems the call might be a scam, well there's a suprise

Just received 2 calls and 4 left on 1571 within 55 minutes. All blank. Not impressed.
I don't really want to block all texts to landline as this service has been useful in the past.

This number is T-Virgin mobile. It is a very annoying servicethat will allow mobiles to leave you messages. BT do the same even if you hve preferential calling and a protected number.

Call back,select option 3 and it should be cancelled. Then report them to Ofcom for invasion of privacy!

anonymous semi threatening text on my bt landlne at 4.20am sun

surely this is illegal both as anonymous threat and monetary scam from apparently legitimate compant t mobile .what can I do?

I just received a call from 07953966066.  When I picked up the receiver, a voice said something about I had received this text message.  A foreign voice read out my postal address to me, twice.  It freaked me and I put the phone down.

07953966066 left 20 messages on my 151 answer machine stating that if I wanted to stop the calls to ring the number.

This tied up my line up and wasted my time and I have no intention of calling a mobile number that is probably phish to stop them calling me.  I have reported this to Ofcom though they say they can't do anything about one off complaints.  So if you have received calls from this number please complain to Ofcom.

its a mobile text service that sends to landlines, however messages are so incoherant that you have no idea of what is being said and doesnt let you know who sent message either, which rather useless!

Just got a garbled message from 07953966066 saying something about f......g!
crimewatch (their words not mine). They then asked twice to call the number, of course I didn't. Would love to know why they are doing it. Obviously a scam of some sort!

Received a call from them on 1571 BT service.

Message left was about cancelling a call, garbled and did not make sense.

Sounds like a scam to get you to phone a high cost phone line.

This was the first time this lot has called us.

Got an annoying voice message on my l/line which was difficult to understand. Immediately i called back with my mobile number (since i couldn't use my l/line to call). But it was still annoying voicemessages i got.  I hope they are not trying to bug my phone..

00.45 am & I just got a call on my Orange Broadband 2nd line - only family have that number & the only way BT got it was via my 0800 calls to them :(

BT Mobile used to buy airtime from T-Mobile until a couple of years ago they started using Vodafone Wholesale, seems this still from BT/T-Mobile contract

This service is when someone sends you a text to your landline.

Test it now. From your mobile, send a text to landline number. let your phone ring and then call the number.

OR

Text your landline,and pick up and it should instantly go to reading your text message out. My Deaf friend uses this service to call me when I am in my flat as I have no mobile signal.

had a message on my answerphone to ring this number 07953966066 that was all it said' needless to say i just logged it on here didn;t bother to return the call

Fed up of this too, had quite a few from07953966066 and similar no.s over last year, as its similar to friends mobile no. its annoying, I just wait for mesg. from friends on mobile if they need to contact me and ignore this no. or any similar.

Got call saying I'd subscribed to the 1571 service and to cancel call 07953966066. Did'nt even know what 1571 was I'm not with bt!!
Call BT on their freephone number to sort it out! If you don't you could get a nasty shock in the post in the form of a BILL!!!!!!!!
