just received a call from this number on my parents landline asking for my boyfriend. thought he'd given my parents house number out but looking at all these comments i dont think he has, financial connections they told me they was. same as all your comments wouldn't give much information away, put phone down when i probe him.

Aha!  Have had this number ringing me several times a day for about 2 weeks now, at all hours and including weekends.  I am not in the habit of picking up calls from unrecognised numbers, especially if they refuse to leave any message, but shall be very happy to explain their growing reputation to them when next they try!

Same thing happened to me i never answer numbers i do not know. I text them saying not to call me, if they cannot be bothered to leave a messeage it is not that important then they had the cheek to ring me back. I am getting extremely annoyed by these people whoever they are! something needs to be done fast

I keep missing calls from this number and when I call back the orange mailbox is full. I am glad I now know not to answer but it would be even better if they stopped calling me!!

This number rings almost every day.  Picked up once and all I heard was background noise. Not a very effective sales tactic!

Had 5 calls from this number in the past hour. Didn't answer it just checked on 1471 afterwards. How annoying is this!!!!

This number has been calling my home phone line around 3 times a day - today it's been at least 6 times! Ususally our asnwering machine is on and they do not leave a message.

A few times - including about 5 minutes ago - I've answered and there is no-one there.

Getting to be a real nuisance.

Has anybody established who these people actually are?

They just called again, making it 7 times today. No idea what to do about it now.

Received two calls from these muppets claiming to be two different financial companies. Who are they?

Had a call from this number a few weeks ago whilst I was out, when I rang back just got the orange message mail box is full try again later.
Another call came this week whilst I was away on business, young woman asked for me, when my wife explained I was away and asked who was calling she said she would ring later. Made my wife suspicious.
Just ploughed through pages and pages on the orange site to complain and ask for number to be shut down. If enough people contact them maybe they will do something about it.

i had a woman ringing on tuesday, and ask for me by my full name on my landline, and claimed it was finnacial connections and if i wanted life insurance and said that i'd filled out a questionnaire and asked if it was something i'd done at school,how did they know of what age i am?., then they rang again, saying 'oi leanne [***]' and put down the phone.

Keep getting fone calls from this number, the past 5 times when i answered there was only backgroung noise no1 actually talking. however this time when I answered a very rude woman said she was from a financial company and wanted me to take part in a survey, i told her no and she said "whatever" in a very rude way and hung up! what a cow!

I have had a couple of calls from this number on my work line, having tried to call it back it brings up unable to leave a message as the answer machine is full, obviously just a waste of time as they dont even leave a message but they did have my name correct, so not sure where they are getting this information from

I've just received a call on my landline.  As soon as I answered, they hung up. 1471-ing and googling it led me to this page.  Had a few calls from this number before but always when I was out.  Guess some people have way too much time on their hands.  How do we go about complaining about it- had a look at the orange website but wasn't sure where to go....

Have been called twice on land line in the last two days, My wife answered and spoke to a women. When my wife said I wasn't in she said she would call back later. I didn't think anything of it until I did a search for the number on the internet and found this site. Incidently we have just recently moved home so our land line is a relatively new number

rang three times today, leaving no message. Finally, I rang them back and got the Orange answer machine.

I've had the same problem this number keeps calling me twice every day which is annoying, so i thought i would call it back today and it goes to the orange answer phone but the machine is full!  

Emailed orange so awaiting outcome now as i'm ex directory so should be bothered by these dodgy calls.

Yeah they keep calling me and there is no one there.  Do you think it is hackers  !! Jesus.. its really annoying.

Called four times now by this number, first time missed the call, second time was a man asking for a thirteen year old child using her full name to finalise the payment for life insurance, yesterday they asked for my partner just by using Mr ... and today they rang and just kept saying hello, hello, hello and i put the phone down. I am now pissed off as my number is ex directory so am particulary worried where they have got my daughters name from!
