I have too had calls from this number. I have now sent an e-mail to Amanico asking them to take my number off and if i keep getting nuisance calls i will report them both to ofcom and wathcdog.

In response to Ryan, i do fill these surveys in and leave my number as some of them state that winners will be contacted by telephone, NOT that they will sell your number on to companies giving yo nuisance calls.

This number just called and asked for my husband by name. They wouldn't speak to me. We signed our home landline up to the telephone preference service earlier this year which has almost stopped the cold calls.
I've reported this to both the tps and Orange.

This number has called me about 10 times over the last few days.  It is a company trying to sell me Life Insurance. :-/

Have had two calls from this number but when answered there is no reply

Had loads of calls from this company. Answered to a person twice. First time they asked for mu hubby who was out, and I asked them who they were. They said they were Financial Connections and that my husband had put a CV into them and they were calling him back about it. The second time my husband told them we weren't interested in anything they have to offer, so hopefullythe 5 nor 6 calls a day with creepy noise will stop.

have had 3 calls from this number. when i called it back it said the number was temporarily unavailable. Pissing me off big time, i wish they would [***] off

GOT CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AT 8:38PM BUT MISSED IT TRYED TO CALL IT BACK BUT GOT NUMBER IS UNAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME, NOT TOO HAPPY AS EX-DIRECTORY, HOPEFULLY ONEDAY EX-DIRECTORY MIGHT ACTUALLY MEAN THAT YOU WONT RECEIVE COLD CALLS LIKE THIS ESPECIALLY FROM DODGY MOBILE NUMBERS!!!!!!!

Also getting bizarre calls from this number asking for different individuals unconnected to me.  Did some Googling and see a website for Financial Connections of Falkirk which states they are an authorised representative of Financial Options Ltd, authorised by the Personal Investment Authority.

The problem is that this regulatory body ceased to regulate the industry in December 2001! The company should be registered with the Financial Services Authority but I cannot find any registration against any of the several postcodes found for this company on Google.

Suggest extreme caution and report any attempts to sell investments or financial services to your local authority's Trading Standards department.

Had 4 calls from this number, rang BT nuisence calls and they said they cannot do anything about it, I am ex directory and I have caller preference but they cant do anything as this is a "private" mobile phone. I want to know where they are getting our numbers from in the first place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8 calls sinced monday. No one ever responds and they hang up almost immediately. As I represent Orange, I will flag this number.

Another call after 8 p.m. claiming they were Financial Connexions Ltd (note the spelling) FSA registration number 441723.  They apparently sell life assurance. Not clear if any connection to previously mentioned businesses. Whether they are legit or not, they keep calling spurious individuals on my number - so their database is inaccurate. If OFCOM / Orange / Police won't help, I suggest approaching the Financial Services Authority (www.fsa.gov.uk) who regulate them.

Hi we work on behalf of Financial Connexions doing the calls the above talk about, we do infact sell life insurance. The reason behind the mobile number, according to our supervisor is because an 0845 or number like this are blocked by TPS cold calling prefernce, however a mobile number is not blocked, if they use a mobile number they can make more calls to people who have obviously not asked for them to be made.

To answer the question regarding where we get the details from, we buy the data from companies who perform surveys on UK Residents, well that is what we're told to say anyway ;)

We will answer any questions as and when we are able to.

As I am sure you can imagine, what with all the foreigners getting our jobs, especially where we are based it's hard to find work therefore we take what we can.

I'm sure whichever job, you yourself do, people would prefer you not to do it, at the end of they day we need money and we will do whatever job we need to in order to gain that money, we do have bills to pay etc...

We don't choose to call you, the computer chooses who it calls and when.

So your a foreigner?

No we are not a foreigners, we are English born a bred, all we were saying was that we do the job we have to do to pay the bills.

That doesn't mean we like doing it, if we liked our job we would have defended it not told you why they use a mobile number etc...

We have told you why they use a mobile number in order for you to possibly take more advanced action, not so you can basically give us abuse and tell us to get a new job.

Clam bennifits like the rest of us scum them, at least we wont have to put up with these dam bloody fone calls!!!!

If you don't want to calls, take the advice given on page 4 and contact the comapany directly.

You are beginning to rack us off, we have come with some friendly advice and information and you have turned it in to a slagging match.
