THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING MY PHONE, WHEN I TRY TO CALL BACK IT SAYS IT IS THE ORANGE ANSWERING SERVICE? it doesnt sound like any orange answering service ever heard?

i've just had a call from these people, asking for my husband, the problem is, i've had my phone number for 2 weeks only, and my husband is in the army over in germany. he doesn't even live with me???? (although we are still together) very wierd? we're not in debt, just got a mortgage, got every insurance going, so what do these people want with him?

I have for the past couple of weeks been getting this number ring me every morning and again about lunchtime at work.  When I answer it just clears and nobody there.  I tried to ring back and the first time it just said that all lines were busy and then the next few times went into an orange answerphone saying it was full.  It is very annoying and it worries me that the times I have called back how much are the calls costing.  I am going to make sure I dont answer it in future and hopefully they will buzz off elsewhere!

I have been getting calls on my landlinefrom this number for the last 2 weeks. I tried to call it but it goes to answerphone which is full. I am just glad to find out it is not my partner's ex playing silly buggers.

the police will not help neither will orange. i dont know what to do. i have contacted watchdog over this but they may need more people to let them know about it.
I have also received a number of calls at night and weekends. I dont fill in surveys or give out my number so assume they are taking the number from somewhere else.

answered and sum [***] asking me for bank details, told them to [***] off the foreign scumbags

I have received 11 calls in 2 days from this number. Only once did I hear a voice, that of a female who was clearly talking to someone close by. As I spoke, she hung up.This practice should be stopped and the perpetrator heavily fined.

Hi Everyone, I was getting these calls constantly 9am, 12pm and on and on, however, fingers crossed them seem to have stopped since i contacted the group Ryan said Amanico or something like that, see my post on page 4. When i answered the phone to that mobile number they were really rude, i said i didnt fill in a survey and that my number was ex -directory. I asked to be taken off the list, to which she was really rude going on that you shouldnt fill in surveys if you didnt want to be contacted etc, i wonder if people are getting our details some how and filling in whatever survey she was talking about. Ive reported them to Ofcom following at least 12 calls, and orange. I finally called that Amanico place which is based down in England and the guy was alright on the phone. He took my complaint and took my name off the list so hopefully that is it. I dont know why they are using mobiles which is weird and freaks me out a bit.
The reason when you answer no one is there is all these companies use stupid systems that phone up loads of numbers at once however the call centre people can only answer so many calls so the rest are left with creepy silent calls, it tells you about in on the tps website that someone mentioned on the forum.

Everyone needs to bombard ofcom in order to get them to stop as if only a couple contact ofcom they just monitor it, however if loads complain then they have to do something. Orange should pull there finger out and block it.

I too am receiving lots of calls from this number over the last week or so, they never leave a message and I don't recognise it. So I googled it and surprisingly found this thread.

How do we go about making a complaint to ofcom or contacting the offending company directly?

been getting calls from this number all the time don't know how they got is x directory, but telemarketing companys used to be able to buy the entire directory from bt and that included all ex directory no's (worked in telesales for 2 weeks 6 year ago) tps won't do asnything because its a mobile and you cant specify the business name or address for them to contact. will try that website suggested earlier

Keep getting missed calls from this number. Wont be answering it after reading this. Going to log a complaint with Orange now.

Have had several calls from this company and do not appreciate it one bit. Never deal with cold callers. Have complained to ofcom to boost number of complaints. Also went to amanico link and e-mailed mamaging director asking for name to be removed stating that i had complained to ofcom regarding silent calls and that i was keeping a copy of the e-mail asking for my name to be removed. I await to see if this works

I have had this number call me 08703302522 7 dasy a week i never pick up coz dont know the number and now its bugging me coz thay wont leave me alon .

Grrr.. This number has been ringing me for the last week or so. I've answered to no avail, just get background noise. When I've missed it and 1471'd it's just the orange answerphone. Driving me mad.. I think a loud whistle is in order!.

Hi i contacted Amanico through the link left by Ryan. I called them to complain as they work with Financial connections which is the company phoning. I asked to be removed, to which the said they would and apologised. Since then i have received no calls from this number and have just received a letter from them apologising and saying my name has been removed. I would suggest everyone else does the same

Yep, me to keep getting this number call me and dont aswer when call go straight to answer phone, wasting my phone charge!

Similar to the other postings, I received a number of calls on my landline, which is ex-directory etc, but there is no one at the end of the line. What is it all about? When I did 1471 -3 there was an announcement to say the line was temporarily out of service - seconds after I received the call!! What is it all about?

Jo again! About an hour after my last posting.  They rang again, clearly from a call centre, stating that they were Financial Connections, trying to reach Ms (My surname ).  I denied being myself and said they must have the wrong number, and asked them to repeat who they were. He reeled off my full name and address and lied that Ms (my surname)had asked Financial Connections to ring her'.(I most certainly had not, I owe nobody any money and am also ex-directory!!).  He said that it would take 24 hours to remove (my) telephone number from the database and to possibly expect more calls.  Well dodgy!!  I suspect identity fraud of some sorts??

we buy details off many companys, from  serveys your have filled in
thats how we get ur details!

my four year old daughter picked up the phone- she said it was a woman asking for my husband but when I asked who it was they hung up ... very suspicious. tried to call number back but read number temporarily unavailable.
