To Snoopy and Peanuts thanks for coming on and explaining a few things for us, appreciate it.I've finally got it stopped after contacting you company directly and have also had a letter of apology so i would advise everyone else to contact the address i gave on page 4 as it does stop the calls. Phone them directly though.

i've had phone calls from this number for a few days now asking for my husband when i tell them he's at work they just hang up not sure who they are but obviously dodgy and very very rude!

Have had calls from this number and this is my work number, from home ??? i only give this tel no to my customers?? Same , no ans when you speak , then line goes dead and when you do 1471 and ring back number temporary unavailable.Very annoying as if i am not in my office i have to run a mile to answer the phone when it rings !!!!

this number is phoning at all hours and sometimes they don't even answer very irritating.

Had a call from this number twice - really irritating. When the number is dialed back - 'says that this number is temporarily unavailable' Stupid irritating person. Wish I had a license to kill!

We fail to see why you come moaning when we have explained what we do and if you wish, how to get your number removed.

S&P - I too have to earn a living doing telesales, any chance of you posting your number here so I can ring you anonymously, whenever I please and as many times as I please? Occasionally I'll hang up as soon as you answer or just be very impolite, then, when you get so annoyed as to complain on a web message board, I'll start posting drivel to justify my excuse for employment.

From what you've been saying you obviously won't mind being called.

See now that would be valid if you hadn't given your number out in the first place, we are clever enough however to not give our numbers out.

I also can't see how anything we have said means we won't mind being called. We have given information and answers to some of the questions asked such as who we are, why we call using a mobile number and how you can get your information removed from the database.

Sounds to me like we were helping you.

This number has been calling me constantly for days and when i try to call it back it just states on te other end 'The Person You Are Calling Is Temporary Unavailable!' I wish they'd just Bog Off!!!!!  It's harrassment to call someone regarding survey's or finance etc more than 3 times in a day!

S&P: I can assure you that I did not give my number out, however you will doubtless disagree so there is little point in arguing either way, unless you are willing to reveal your exact data sources, which I very much doubt you will (I don't think your employer would be pleased either).

Where providing contact details is admittedly more helpful than say, doing nothing at all, it is little more than a token gesture considering the company as a whole. Your employer requires us to ring them in order to be removed from the database(costing us money). Furthermore, I would be interested in your employers (and your own personal) response to the allegations of rude and impolite conduct listed in previous messages (hanging up on people, attempting to sell products to school children, ignoring requests to decist calling etc).

I appreciate that you two came on here of your own free will and needn't have done anything, so I do thankyou for that. In my previous post my annoyance at your employer was incorrectly directed at you personally (sorry), but the contents of your posts seem to suggest that you think that the people being harassed deserve it in some way, that the conduct of your telephone operators is acceptable and your policy on repeat calling is not extremely irritating. I just don't think you appreciate what its like on the receiving end.

Have had several calls (6 in 2 days) from this number.

Got the number by dialling 1471 (we don't have caller ID)

When answered there is no-one at the other end.

When I call back you get a message saying the number is temporarily unavailable.

I have called the operator and nuisance call services and they can not do anything as it is a private Orange Mobile number!!

Any ideas what to do next?

Have received multiple calls within 2 days. Someone asks to speak to Mr [my name] and says they'll call back. On the occasion I picked up the phone they simply hung up, which is exactly what I think should happen to these people.

DT - I have called checked the website on page 4 and called them to get my details removed, I have also called Financial Connections 01477535920 who are a bureau that pass the details onto amanico, they say that they buy the data from various sources and will remove my details from their records, and will also advise the source that provided the details so that I can get my details removed from there.

They calls are apparently to do with Life or Home Insurance.

The data 'survey' can be done verbally or via paper. I think that someone calling you in the 1st place and getting you to say only 'yes' constitutes a 'survey' is appalling!

I have read some previous comments saying the reason they use personal mobile numbers is so that they don't get blocked by the Caller Preferece Service.

Surely there is legislation that states that this is underhand or even illegal for a call centre business to operate this way!!!

Missed the call and when I called back the message said that the person I wished to speak to was not available.

Keep calling my mobile and hanging up.  I have reported this to orange.
