About 15 minutes ago, when I was in my office, the phone rang and I answered with like five 'hello' before I got a response, then with a woman's voice speaking something about my account unclearly. I didn't follow what her saying after her confirmation of who I am and simply just told her that I don't understand what's her meaning, then suddenly, the voice dead...no more answer...

They are royal pains in the [***] these are.

They just got me too, how annoying is this? Did anyone find a way how to stop them or do I just ignore it?

I just had this. I assumed it was T-Mobile trying to flog me something. I answered with 2 hellos before the line cut out. Then they rang again. I looked it up as I found it odd.

They ring at silly times. 20 past 6.

I hope they don't ring again.

This number rang me today at 17:18 Luckily i don't answer numbers unless i know them... just by chance i typed the number into yahoo to see what popped up and after reading all your comments i can see its obviously something to do with virgin media. I am a virgin media customer but would prefer to discuss my account with someone who i rang and not them ring me. Thanks for all the advice everyone, i certainly will not be answering a 08000135333 number EVER!

It seems like a scam to me.  I told the caller that I didn't want to take any more calls.  They then said they would send emails. Curiously they wanted to know my email address.  If it really were Virgin Media then they would know my email since they provide it to me.  I didn't give it to them.

I had the same number called me today, but no message left!!! I am the Virgin Media customer... :-(

I got a call from them today and googled it. I was in a lecture so hung up instead of instead of answering. Won't be ansewring their number and hopefully they might not ring again.

The reason there's often a long gap before they answer, is because if the dialler is running slowly, then it doesn't pass you through to the rep quickly enough when you answer the phone. If there aren't any reps available, then they'll often put you on hold until there are, hence the music!
And yes, after a couple of months of peace, these calls are starting again. I guess I'll have to tell them AGAIN that I still don't watch TV...

they're calling me for years...they won't stop ever! that's the virgin... used to i answered the call sometimes rude sometimes polite...doesn't matter...i just got 2 calls during the last 10 minutes, i answered it and i kept quiet after 10 sec they finished the call :)

Been getting quite a few calls from this number lately, always silent when we pick up. Last one, a few minutes ago, went to answerphone and no message was left.

Called for the first time today. I answered, the lady claimed to be from Virgin. She was asking to speak to me but i said she had the wrong number and hung up.

Had many calls from this number before christmas (sometimes up to 11 times a day), and its started all over again.  I've saved the number into my phone under the name of "do not answer", and I set the ring tone for this number to silent.  They wanted to offer me a complete package:- tv, phone and broadband.
Have said no, but we'll see if they keep calling back.

been getting this number calling for a week, i finally answered it tonight & just got a couple of seconds of silence so i hung up. i am also with TPS

i have VM broadband but have never had calls from them or problems with the service

Some scammer phoned me telling me they are from "virgin media" The Scammer (she) knew my name and that I was a virgin customer, she asked me for my account password......I said no and asked why she wanted it, She then panicked and blurted out some crap about "data protection then she hung up so I dialled 1471 and got the number she was calling from 0800 0135 333 so then I called Virgin helpdesk and told them everything. The guy on the helpdesk said it was definately NOT a virgin media telephone number. So I then called the police who were VERY interested to hear what happened.

My advice to EVERYONE getting telephone calls from this number (0800 0135 333) is to telephone the police! Plain and simple PHONE THE POLICE! it is harrasement after all.

I am getting a regular call when I am at work from this number.Calls me three to four times continously within 5 minutes... Leaves no message.

When searched in Googel , came to know that this is from Virgin Media. I was their customer and I think they are calling for some marketing stuff..
