- E AVery positive experience with Virgin Media customer service (Scottish accents; UK call centre). If you're patient and reasonable with them, they will likely be so with you. The gal reckoned this IS a VM number (she put me on hold to dial it), possibly an automated-dialling call from the Sales Team. My mobile no. is on my account, that's probably why I'm being called. She put a "no sales calls" flag on my account and offered to remove my mobile no. entirely. She was very courteous and proactively helpful. I spoke to her manager to compliment the service she'd given me -- I recommend doing this when call centre staff are helpful. Too easy to complain; let's counter with compliments when something goes RIGHT.

- E APlease note that I dialled VIRGIN MEDIA CUSTOMER SERVICE -- 150 from my Virgin phone line or see their webpage for other numbers. I did NOT dial 08000135333. That is a wasted call, as nobody will answer it.

Got home, called Virgin via 150 on our home phone and they verified that it was the Virgin media team that had called me.

have a Samsung phone so have been able to block the number connecting to me so my phone doesnt ring but my phone still shows numerous missed calls from this number.
I am going to have to start writing letters...may even go down the harrasment route if they dont stop!

- AnnoyedI keep getting silent calls from this number. Literally every day. I've made complaints to the Telephone Preference Service as I'm registered with them and they advised they have had numerous other complaints. Best way to stop it is to move away from Virgin media. When you ring them about it the staff can bearly speak english, and advise nothing they can do. Back to BT I guess!

- LesleyThis is virgin media. I've been getting loads of those "silent" calls from them then it disconnects. They've just got through asking why I'm leaving them. I had to stop the guy because when I called to disconnect I had some arsey idiot ARGUE with me for 30 minutes as to why I should stay! I reported him to their customer services and have just had another call asking me why I'm leaving! I stopped this latest guy short and told him what I'd been put through and he promised I won't get another call. We shall see!! They are DESPERATE to keep customers and seem to be able to slash their extortiante prices all of a sudden. This is bad customer service that verges on bullying tactics. Disgraceful behaviour from Mr Branson's company.

One "Hello" is enough for me, screw it if nobody answers.
If it is from Virgin Media, I have only internet from them. - mr BThese simpletons call us every few days, today 6 times in 2 hours, always no one there, always putting the phone down. We recently quit Virgin on account of them being utterly crap in everything they do, they rang us to ask why we had left, ignored our comments and could not even be helpful in arranging return of their substrandard set top box. THye then said they looked forward to hearing from us again, whoich I now understand oinvolves ghost calling me evry few days.

- A different bearded wonderI've just cancelled my line with them too. Never been keen on V but they took over my previous supplier so I became trapped. But now I've escaped.
- AlI am a vm customer, until recently never had a problem but then the email went off, called 150 some asian girl did not know what to do, called again a couple of days later same problem asian but this time wanted my email password when i refused she started shouting so i slammed the phone down, called BT, On Monday this week BT called to say phone line will be active from Thursday but will have to have a new number because VM wont release old one, fair enough not a problem, called VM to cancel, nice Scottish las cancelled phone and broadband, started with BT but very old lines and have problems getting over 3mbps broadband, so cancelled BT. Called VM to see what they can offer and suddenly total bill is reduced by £25 per month. Since then this number has called 22 times in less than 24 hours, did not answer at first, but then simply dead air. Wish BT line was better would stay with them.
- P.I also get miscalls from this number on my mobile twice a week, during the week 9am to 5.30pm and they never leave a message. If I try to call back a Virgin Mobile type of voice tells me I'll be charged...

They suggest I go to TPS. Apparently now he has flagged my account.
Let's see if the calls and junk mail will stop.
Once when someone called me from 08000135333 the woman was trying to
sell me more tv rubbish that I don't need. Times are hard. Everyone is
trying to get by, and here is virgin media, harrassing and forcing people
to come to the phone only to find ..nobody there.
Thing is I have already registered with TPS more than 6 months ago.. so what
