Hi all, I've just dialled 1471 and have a call from this number, rang it back and a recorded message said BT had tried to contact me, they will call again if they need to - amazing really - you try getting hold of THEM on the phone!!! Despite providing a phone service it's almost immpossible to get to talk to a human at BT unless you have the patience of a Saint and lots of time to hang around on the phone trying to remember where you got to in the menu selections and trying NOT to throw the phone through the window when you get to a dead end and get cut off,...or maybe that's just me!

this poxy number has been calling my firms number every 1/2 hr all through the working day.
We wont answer it.

It's BT - had a fault on my line, they asked me for the number I was calling from and called me back, so it's definitely BT.

The person calling from this number claimed to be calling on behalf of Microsoft using my name and post code to add credence to the call.  They said that there was a problem in our area with Windows running slowly and that it was due to bugs and that they could correct them if I logged into the computer and followed their instructions....... I told them that I wasn't going to anything of the sort and hung up!

Sorry previous message wrong - have had one of those afternoons - apologies - it was BT, I was trying to sort out a problem and they rang me back after I had the scam call!!   Sorry!!!

This number is a legitimate BT customer service number. I contacted them by email recently because they were still charging me for caller display after cancelling it.
They called me back on this number to tell me they were sorry for the error and had now put it right.

Had a call from this number and they asked if i was the account holder for BT Vision. As i am on Sky and never had BT Vision i hung up.

i had this number call today and it was bt calling me back about a email i sent last night querying my bill.
they were calling on my mobile and i never answer unknown numbers on my mobile but they emailed me straight after calling saying they were trying to get hold of me

They just rang me on my mobile, saying I had logged a fault with BT.  It sounded like a call centre in India.

I have not logged any BT faults.  My landline is on Virgin cable, and my mobiles are on Vodafone and Orange/T-Mobile.  Why on Earth are they ringing me?

I thought it was some sort of £3 per second reverse charges scam call for a moment.  After looking on here, I am relieved to find it wasn't, as I spoke to her for about a minute, just trying to understand what the blazes was going on.

This number keeps calling me about 3 times a day everytime I answer a rude man asks for A man I dont know when I tell him this he is very rude. He asks for my phone number which I state is the one he is calling and then trys to belittle me by saying that I dont know my own phone number Which I then tell him is the one he is calling. He tells me he is from a company called head hunters. He asks me what my name is and I inform him that its not really his business as he hasnt called to speak to me. Then I ask him what his name is and he promptly says good bye and hangs up. All this to my mobile number.

report them to the telephone preference service they called me very early this morning could not even say my name properly i mean how difficult is it to say Ian

every morning for the last 4 days at 9.45 this number has called me and then hung up , will try to block the number

don't answer any calls from this number it is a BT scam and those people who say it is BT are right, yes outsourced scamming enterprize. I have this number in my diary from 2005 when a BT customer I always log the dates and the time of calls.

Had call from this number, heard a click and then i couldn't hang up the phone. Tried to disconnect and just kept displaying 'talk-busy' ? This may be BT i do not know? Will see if they ring again...and why?

Just got called by this number . I was a recorded message from BT saying that they had reconnected my phone and thanks for paying my bill . It genuinely was them as i had been disconnected and paid my bill last night
