- chuck replies to Joe Bloggsthis is one of many callers, TPS are unable to stop them as they are BT , they are a law unto themselves, have written to BT about unsolicited calls like this one but surprise surprise they have not bothered to reply. damned annoying, would cancel BT line but being over 80 I need a phone so my daughters can keep in touch with me
- Mary CookClaimed they were BT and I owed them two separate amounts of money. Were quite insistent.
- Caller: BT
- Professor replies to shelI just unplug my phone at night, mobile I leave on
- Gary W| 3 repliesThis is BT India.
The most useless bunch of idiots I have ever had the misfortune to talk with. They have no power to change anything, except for the worse.
I recently moved from BT Business to BT Residential as I closed my company but needed a phone line, they helpfully moved the phone line but not the broadband, then they moved the broad band and two months later they realised that I was now both Business and Residential so they cancelled both, leaving me without phone )6 days) or broadband (13 days)
Following this and 13 hours of me calling they finally re-connected me having first demanded £50 because I was not a BT customer. I have so far received a credit for £9 for the inconvenience and the broadband I now hae would be faster it I were using a ben tin on a piece of string.
This is the most appalling service I have ever received,- Caller: BT 0800 028 5085
- Dave Bush replies to Gary W| 2 repliesI got this recorded "press 1 -- " etc call, so I phoned up BT customer services on 150. It was a genuine call to tell me I had not paid my bill. It just shows how much BT does not seem to understand the problem with nuisance calls and scams. Nobody should call back any number that a phone call asks you to, for goodness sake! It could be going anywhere, doing anything!
Have to add that it took me a full 20 minutes to find out who to call and go through all the automated press this and that numbers. - Dave Bush replies to Dave BushJust to add, I've no problem with being chased up over bills. My apologies for this. It had simply slipped by me. It was just the silly telephone call from BT that I immediatley assumed was a scam. (as is clear we should all do so nowadays). Come and live in the real world BT.
- WJHGetting calls from this number. If they are genuine then leave a message. I am a member of the Telephone Preference Service which is supposed to block cold-calling. I keep the answer machine on because of unwanted calls from call centres in India. the TPS can't do anything about this. There can be so many unwanted calls some days I feel like getting rid of the landline phone and using mobiles with different sim cards,
- Caller: don't know
- rebecca_riotsone of several calls, usually silent
- Caller: if we speak they refuse to give name
- Hayleylol, this number genuinely is BT. I phoned them with a complaint and they rang me back on this number....

- roberthad a call from this number i asked for the name of the caller alex i asked alex who he refused then to tell me his full name., by saying alex that all then he hung up iffy or what ,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
- I hate BTYes it is genuine but the way they talk and handle it makes you think otherwise. British Telecom it is not when the callers cannot speak english.
What a pathetic service they now offer and I shall be off elsewhere soon. An hour of my life wasted on these fools- Caller: BT

- EdwardI am also receiving calls from this number. I have 4 missed calls today and had another 3 yesterday. Never managed to pick it up and after reading other messages am inclined to simply ignore. I guess if it is important they will leave a message and if they are legit use a different method! However very very annoying!!!

- Caller: BT
- JenI am very very very concerned. I see a lot of people saying this is genuinely BT, which is what I thought. This number has been calling me on my mobile, but today when the call was coming through it came through with an actual name displayed. In my case "Adrian S100". Lucky the number showed too, so I did not answer. I was more baffled as to how the name was showing as I have NEVER STORED THIS NUMBER in my mobile. Anyway as I go to my missed calls to make sure I saw correctly, it takes me to my text messages where there is a draft message with some random letters from me to this "Adrian S100" which I never typed... and then I check my mobile contacts because I have an ACTUAL friend stored as Adrian 100 in my mobile phone book. I feel slightly violated as they seem to have hacked into my phone or used some kind of app to access my personal info in order to manipulate me into thinking my friend was calling me, AND they've then stored themselves in my phone. I'm gonna have to figure out what to do about this one, I mean there must be rules and regs about this sort of thing.
- Caller: If this really is BT, I'm shocked!!!!
