Just had a call from a guy from this number asking for a man who worked with us till around 10 years ago. Didn't say who he was or a company name.

Strange i just got a call from this number, i looked it up after doing the 1471 thing,, anyhow it was an indian sounding guy who started out with " according to their records someone at this number has had an accident in the last 3 years blah blah blah " i just told em go away or something like that and hung up.. it was nothing to do with BT so maybe another scam they try .

Is definitely BT. I order a number of lines for the company I work for and their home workers an this number currently calls to confirm the onsite engineer visit by BT. I'm not sure if BT organise visits by Openreach who are responsible fur the"last mile" of copper from the exchange to your door. That are used by Talk Talk, Virgin non cable services, and any company that use these lines hat were freed up to any provider of telecoms (and broadband ) during de- regulation in the 90's.

Just got a call from this number but didn't answer. Was left a message, which was just saying they were from BT and then nothing. To all the people who have been convinced into believing this is genuine, DO NOT TRUST THEM!

They're calling my number saying they're from BT, but I have nothing to do with BT. For one they're phoning my mobile, and two my phone phone and internet are with a different company. So it's obviously a scam artist trying their luck.

Keeps ringing

I had a call from this number and it was a genuine call from a part of BT chasing payment on an outstanding invoice, so it does appear genuine. However, it would be handy if they didn't use the same number for multiple purposes as seems to be the case!

Just had a call from these guys. Claimed they were from BT. Asked to speak to the account holder, I told them they weren't available. He asked what their name was. I asked what the account name was according to their systems. He ummed and ahhed and said it was Lynne. No one by that name has ever worked here. I told him this and he still continued to tell me he could save me some money today.

Interesting it sounds to me like these numbers that record if you answer or not so they know when to ring

Repeatedly had calls to mobile but not answered them as I am not expecting anyone to call

They left a message saying it was the BT complaints dept. I am expecting a call back so it does seem fairly genuine

Yes continuous calls from this number. Believe it IS BT but being disabled can't get to the phone quick enough to answer ......... like others I believe it is due to a Direct Debit being returned but this is the 1st time in 42 years of using BT. Suddenly they have decided to claim D/D the day BEFORE I get paid !!!!!!!!

Had a call from this number twice in 3 minutes tonight, they didnt hang on long enough for the answerphone to kick in, I dont answer any numbers I dont recognise anyway.....but its annoying all the same...

Theyve just called again, before i had time to hit the submit button, might as well wait another 10mins to see if it goes on.......Yes there it is again.......so thats 4 times in 6 miniutes.......its been 3 minutes since the last one....they must have given up!......Lets hope its for good and not just until tomorrow.......10 mins later....no more.

I have a Answerphone set to engage after 2 rings. The caller hangs up and leaves no message. This has been happening since I deceided to leave BT and go to Plusnet.

No idea who they are they keep calling i say hello they say hello back and then hang up

Its BT. Noting to worry.  I received a call after placing fault on my line.

Just had one of my two daily calls from BT on this number, usually a person with an indiscernible accent advising about the state or rather non-state of my broadband order. Which was supposed to be going active on the 31/01/2014. NINE letters ostensibly confirming my order and 25 hours on the phone to BT (really!) I today was told my broadband will now be available on the 20-23rd. Pigs might fly! But they might very sure they took a Direct Debit for services not rendered, funny I don't get called about that.........!!  Needless to say I do not answer these calls anymore

I got 4 calls within a space of 10min...not answering it as I can see its a rubbish number....anyway, if they cant be bothered leaving a message then I am not bothered to answer
