Rang BT about this number. I cancelled my bt account 7 months ago due to poor customer service time and time again, but it seems as if the operator that I spoke with back then left my bt sports running! Today the Nice fella assured me that this will be rectified. I recommend calling this number 080044331120 and when prompted REPLY "complain" and then when prompted again REPLY "bill" this will take you through to an English speaking operator. I still have a BT.com email address which he confirmed and he could see my whole history. Apologised and also said he would remove me from any future BT calls and also make my account balance 0.

Have just checked online and BT's website states their contact number for Broadband queries from a landline is 0800 111 4567 or a mobile, call 0330 123 4567

Had a call from this number at lunchtime today, 28/11. As I did not recognise it I didn't bother to answer it. Looking at some of the comments on here I am pleased I didn't.

It's just BT. In my case it's because my landline and broadband contract is about to expire and they're trying to get me to renew.

Following the call which I did not answer, I got a text addressing someone else saying it was BT and they were processing my order. I called them on the number they gave me for my own account and they said that my mobile phone number had been mistakenly allocated to someone else's account, so that's why I got the call. While I was on the phone, they offered to review my own account. To cut a long story short, I now pay £18 a month less for their services. Get in!

This was British Telecom over a complaint I made about sound issues on BTSport playback.

got a call from this number today (05/02/15) when I picked up the phone it rang off so I checked the number on google and it pointed me to this page have not and will not ring it back in case its a scam but I will report it to bt in case its a scam via phishing@bt.com

Yet another nuisance call from this number. No reply when phone picked up. 1720 Sunday evening too!

i got 2 calls and a text message from this number claiming to be bt  and i must say its a very good fake website ect but i rang the proper bt on 0800800150 and its defently not them  it is a scam x

In terms of repairing a fault it would depend on what care cover you pay for,  repairing a fault within 24 hrs I think would be the top care cover.

BT to talk to me about update on a fault which i had reported 3 days ago. genuine.

It is BT, we were trying to chat on line as our internet kept crashing and it did whilst we were trying to chat on line so they called on the landline straight away ... good customer service I say :-)

What are you talking about.  Utter rubbish.

My wife received a call from this number which hung up after a couple of rings. They called back after about 5mins. It was BT asking where to send the final bill for her sisters account which is is being closed. My wife had previously sent BT an email about closing the account, that's why they had her mobile number.
So not spam

I periodically dial 1471 just to see if anyone has called (I don't receive many calls I actually want), and today this number came up as having called at 9.25 am. one day last week.  I was having problems with my phone the previous day and did an automatic line test with BT so it may have been them confirming that all was well; I shall never know.

Cannot BT do something about this number (08000285085) as looking at the comments on this site the calls seem to go back at least 7 years.

It is a phishing site and I see from a number of comments that people have already complained to the real BT on a number of occasions and yet BT has done nothing to stop this number harassing people.

I have received at least 15 calls from this number on my mobile which has been set up to block them, it still however leaves a trail in the log. I have also received messages on my voicemail asking me to phone back (before I blocked the number) asking me to phone back to sort out my unpaid BT mobile bill. - I have never had a mobile account with BT.
