BT or not the woman could hardly speak English how the hell does she think she will actually sell anything to me or other people!!!!!

I getting this number phone me too! My answerphone picks it up and in the background it sounds like a call centre anyway they hang up and a couple of times I get an automated message to say they are bt and to call back. So anyway I haven't called them back and thanks to you guys I know it's a scam!.

Had a call from this number today claiming to be from BT...just blocked it on my mobile

Best thing to do is put a block on it.
Someone had ordered a BT mobile contract under a Anton Rodriquez.
Used my address.I sent the sin package back to BT and explaining that no such person lives at my address.
Next I get cancellation fee and 1 month usage
Red letter demanding £57.
Then they go on about if I dont pay they will register me with bad debt etc. And I wont be able to get credit.
But no worries as that is not my name.

Checked here as suspicious of any unknown 0800 number, but it is BT, and they've just left me a voicemail with an update on a slightly delayed order I've placed with them for mobile phones. Nothing dodgy, and good customer service.

Got a call from this number tonight as soon as I answered they told me I had an outstanding balance with bt. I asked if she wanted my bank details straight away so we can start the scam proceedings. Strangely enough she hung up....... I called bt and handed over the phone number they assured me it was definitely a scam and they will look into the number

This appears to be a genuine BT no.
We had a broadband problem last week which was fixed and the call this evening was to check everything had been ok since.

got a phone call from that number its bt and its likely from a indian call center from some assclown that does not know how to do his job they are thick has two short planks of wood

This is a genuine BT number. They have called a few times on the house phone and mobile. When I got to answer it, it was to inform me that a refund that I had been waiting for had been credited to my account! In case anyone is unaware, scammers can now show any number they wish on your caller display.

I had a call from BT IT services relating to overdue invoices that came from this number, but the direct line he quoted was a different extension.  It seems like calls from within BT do come from this number, but other people are able to reroute their calls through it too

Install a true-caller app from store if you have a smartphone and will automatic block and display those calls. Wish you good day to all.

Claiming to be BT and wanting my account No

I recently dealt with BTs India Call Centre....now i'm receiving a large number of calls from this number and 0800 1691608 also claiming to be BT and 0203 565 8790 which google tells me is an Asian Call Centre claiming to be TPS....Spoke to BT in the UK yesterday and they told me they had 'NO' record of any outbound calling to me in their name just my call to them that ended up in India ...stated they will generally e-mail or SMS message....it seems no coincidence that I get theses calls every time I deal with BT India....I suspect their employees in India are selling customer data to scammmers on an industrial scale...these scammers are making calls projecting a legitimate BT number which would be genuinely used...I would advise that you give absolutely zero personal info to anyone calling unexpectedly (without prior agreement) from any of these numbers...ask them to write to you instead....or if they claim to be from BT then phone BT yourself and find out what (if anything) they want..it's a free call via 150...try not to end up at their Indian operation though.....this really needs to be properly investigated by OFCOM in my opinion...

Received three calls from this number today, said it was BT wanting to discuss my direct debit arrangement, and started asking my address, full name etc obviously I never told them. When I see please tell me exactly what the nature of this call is the woman hung up. Total nuisance!

It's a legit BT number. they called me back about a fault they had attended to.

Do not take this call claims to be BT I have called BT who confirmed this is a scam

Been inundated with these people claiming to be from BT. After a few polite replies it got to the stage where they have had more abuse from me than used in last year, hopefully they will get the message?

The person (sounded like they were from India and speaking in a goldfish bowl - echo so on speaker or recording device) called me to say she was from BY and was calling to set up my new direct debit for my line rental (suggests they may have access to my account details as that is now due) she called at 9.15 am when I was very busy. When I got home I checked the number on this site and am assuming it is a scam. beware.

Call to remind me I had not paid my telephone bill.
