Been inundated with these people claiming to be from BT. After a few polite replies it got to the stage where they have had more abuse from me than used in last year, hopefully they will get the message?

The person (sounded like they were from India and speaking in a goldfish bowl - echo so on speaker or recording device) called me to say she was from BY and was calling to set up my new direct debit for my line rental (suggests they may have access to my account details as that is now due) she called at 9.15 am when I was very busy. When I got home I checked the number on this site and am assuming it is a scam. beware.

Some basic punctuation would help us ignoramuses understand what you've written. Thanks. Oh, what's an "als"? And have you reported to relevant regulator? (Assuming you want them shut down.)

From your latest comment, keyboard issue largely resolved but if recurs, I think this may help: first, you will need a non-petroleum based lubricant, your local pharmacy will have some suggestions; second, I've been online and Wilko has a lo-cost silicon handle and grip tongs with brushed steel finish that appears fit-for-purpose (and - good value at £3.00 in two non-confrontational shades) - keep it up!

Well, I'd say these are more suited to internal rather than al fresco usage but you could check out Homebase, B&Q or Argos to check sizes and which all have a varied selection to suit most needs (other in store and online retail  outlets have similar offerings). I suggest that you avoid experimenting at a store but return home for discretion and privacy. Then, if still unsuitable, please ensure all utensils are thoroughly cleaned before returning for possible replacement.

I recently had prolonged loss of broadband service and was contacted by the BT Technical team that dealt with the issue several times. All calls received were on this number. It is genuine as far as I am concerned.

I am calling from BT in reply to your text message, could you verify your name and address. I replied, I don't text, can you prove to me you are from BT - the caller then hung up!  The man had an Asian accent.

I received a call from this number on my mobile.  Indian sounding lady asked to speak to my husband.  I asked her why and she said she was calling from BT.  Was suspicious even though we've just had internet problems but why MY mobile if BT and then the nerve to ask for my husband.  Thanked her and said I didn't want her call.
