This has been ringing me & i have picked my phone up once when this number as rung me & they put the phone down on me.This is same with a few more numbers i have told you about .the number above is a new one please can you stop this number ringing me thankyou

Hi I just checked this number as it started ringing, I didnt asnswer fist time cause I was just typing in the phone No to this site but I answered when the No called a few seconds later.
It was BT ( I had just been asking them to check my online itemised bill as it hadnt appreared on my account and I dont get paper bills anymore )

They called me back to just check my Log in details as they were goign to send the bill to my email account within 24 Hours.

Nothing to worry about from my experience. ( The call was most definately a call cantre from I presume india, judging by the accent.

This a call from BT residential Sales

This number has been ringing the whole week , morning, midday afternoon, late night. I found this website and got worried after reading most of the post here...
And this morning the same number woke me up really early and that made me get up rather angry and i finally answered the phone;
It was BT automated message letting me know that my line has been re-connected and that is now working. I haven't paid my bill on time and BT disconnected me,so after paying my bill last week they have been calling me to confirm the line is working.
So yes, this is BT.

i think earth is being invaded or its something to do with the americans, i tapped the message and played it backwards.. weird stuff going on here man !!!

Louise and Jill are talking rubbish, this number calls our house nearly everyday, does that sound like the work of BT to you? There are no problems with our line etc so don't be fooled just because they tell you they are from BT, as anyone can say that.

I wish I could find a way to stop these calls.

i had a phone call on my mobile from this number askin me to pay £50 deposit to have a bt phone line connected after i ordered it last night. i was quite suspisious as the man was quite rude and seemed very far away.

This is a BT number. When you are called by someone in our call centre, this will be the number displayed. When called back, you will hear an automated message to confirm that BT tried to call you and if they still need to speak with you, they will contact you again.

There is no way to stop these calls as the calls are made by a person and not a robotic service. You can always call BT back on 0800 800 150 if you are ever unsure.

Just had a call from these idiots' robot on my business line.
As I never listen to calls from robots, I put the phone down.

It IS related to BT. It's a call centre. However, some people may be getting scam calls as the quality of employees in these call centres is dubious at best. Some of these centres don't even verify the identity of those they employ. Some may be trying to "supplement their income" a little with card details and other identity theft related information, which can fetch a little money from certain unscrupulous quarters. There have been reports from India about execs trading personal information, so don't think for one second I'm just talking about the grunts in the headsets.

The best thing for BT to do would be to terminate the contract with this outfit and find a trustworthy call centre to do business with but the mighty pound rules their thinking.

This number came up when BT business broadband called to say my line had been fix, was a genuine call.

First call was at 13.44 then three calls 17.20, 17.54, 18.08 on 10/12/08.
All calls had short length of ring.

Keep getting calls from this number 08000285085, they are very persistant. I have not answered any as I won't pick up a call from an 0800 number. but it is getting to be a pain.

I have been called repeatedly at all hours by this number! When pick up they hang up! I am not happy they wake me up at 6am most mornings!

Just recieved a series of  calls every few minutes from this number and when you answer no reply

Any suggestions?

just had a call from this number this morning as well as yesterday morning.
on both occasions they hung up on me when i answered it.
it is getting annoying as im being woken up by his nusence call which just rings and rings till i answer it...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this number call me, I didnt answer but they left a voice mail, couldn't understand a word they we're saying but caught "BT" and "if I cancel I will have to pay £85"... funny as I have NO relationship with BT at all.

Scam!!

I dont know what this number is but it has been ringing my house once every 3-4 hours I dont advise anybody to answer it, not if they don't leave a message anyway..

Call from this number was a genuine BT representative responding to an e-mail complaint about BT service. The lady was irish and from the background noise in a call centre vased in Ireland.

Got a call today but nobody at the other end, very annoying!!
