Call claiming to be from Barclays in Wavertree, Liverpool.  Had all my account details. Including private and business accounts - obviously hacking into either my or Barclays computer systems - wanted me to give my personal verification details so that they could discuss developments on current accounts.

it is barclays call centre, if you ring 0845 076 0174 this is also barclays and tell them you want to stop these calls and they take care of it.

This  number phoned me up today, said it was Barclays, I just pretended I was in the middle of something. The guy said he will try again tomorrow. I definitely wont answer it, I dont like discussing or verifying my bank details on the phone.

i keep getting calls from various numbers that when i answer just hang up so have given up answer the phone as everyone contacts me on my mobile anyway. Just had this number phone and as its a freephone number thought id call it back when i did it was a automated message but wasnt in english (not sure what language it was). After googlin it i came across this. Various people have said its barcleys however no one in my house has a account with them and never has had so i dont no why they would be contactin me.

A couple of months ago, this number kept on phoning me on my mobile (no landline here). I just ignored it and didn't answer, and they gave up after a few days. Answering just encourages this sort of intrusive audio spam, IMHO.

I got the call  from that no this morning . i just got up and they said they were from Barclays . they asked my DOB and other information .Could it be dangerous to my bank account ?

I had a call from this number. Told me it was " Barclays Customer Services".  Could they ask me a few questions. I then asked them how do I know you are Barclays Bank ? After refusing to confirm the last few digits on my bank card, or to confirm the last three letters of my Mother's maiden name. I enquired if I could ring them back. They hung up .

We got a call early in the morning but i was not able to take it.....we tried to check the details of the call on our mobile phone but it was not possible to do this, no details appeared....it was a straight call back to this number....now i saw that my whole TOP UP is gone....Don't answer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not details on the telefone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got call from this number, Claiming to be Barclays. I too was gullible with my detail. Its only an after thought about how stupid I was.

A smooth-sounding operation which claims to be Barclays, but I'm not sure it is at all. They said they had recently sent me a letter and this was a follow up call. They then asked me for my d o b, which I stupidly gave them, but when they asked for the last two letters of my personal information data I became suspicious and stopped the call. It didn't sound Indian, and in fact the operative had an Irish accent.

Further to my post of about 40 minutes ago, I've just rung Barclays Premier and they say the number is genuine. I'm surprised, but relieved.

They called me at work wanting to "update my Barclays bank details".

well it's a first for me for phishing scams over the fone for banks

this number is trying to call at least twice a day but I'm letting the answerphone pick it up, except the caller never leaves a message.  Sick of the intrusion.  Very concerned it may be a Barclays scam on reading other entries.

We kept getting calls from this number and took the advice from this blog and did not give any info BUT the last call we got was at 1744, at 1746 £3.27 was attempted to be taken from my account under a charity payment this was blocked by Braclays and they tried to phone me at 1801, the next i knew was when my wife went to use the debit card and it had been blocked, barclacy said they try to take a small amount then wipe out your account, so even if you don’t give details the try to take money – Warning!!!  block this number with your phone provider, keep a check on your account for small payment  and only call the Barclay number on the back of your card or statement

This number 08000852652 keeps calling on Saturday then wont answer us. Is it costing us? They do not leave a message and Baclays who some say it is does not use this number.

Number called an unlisted number which we have on callsign so am assuming it is a computer generated search from somewhere. Picked up phone and answered and they hung up 1900 100610. Can NOT be a credible caller.
