This pound saver has taken £14.95 off me which i know is not a lot but its what the next payment will be what there take out.. i have never herd of them or bought off any shopping channels i really dont understand how their have my details. i am going to ring the bank and request a refund off them untill poundsaver sort it out. i know there can do this while the fraud team investigate. i am also goping to change my account and close this one. you should feel safe having money put in your bank account its discraceful and by the sounds of it it has been going on for a long time so why isnt it been stopped.

ok had this done ,to my partner ,,,,if help ,, i give u information he had to do ,,,,contact ,the savers on 0800 096 2925 pound savers ,,, ask them to reimburse ya money back u have not given permission for them to take it ,out , it has also been reported to fraud police , and citizen advise  consumer , , are dealing with this now ,,but main nimber to call is the number above ,, hope this helps , good luck :)

ive had the same problem but ive never bought of tv channels

they took 14.95 out of mine to i havent herd of them or bough of a tv channel before

They took £1.60 out of my bank account and the same day took £99.95 I called my bank because I wasn't aware of this and they said it was a catalogue company

Ok, so similar thing happened to me aswell. Had two lots of £1.60 taken out then had 39.95 and 89.95. I didn't know what this was for so I rang my bank and they gave me a phone number for pound saver to call. When I rang the company the explained that I must have opted in for it but that if I didn't want it then I would get my money back within 10 working days. All ok so far.

This was back in November. NOW I've had 2 lots of £35 taken out in December and Janary, I phoned pound saver again and they said they they didn't do it, but it was probably the company that they sold my details onto. Apparently it's some credit card company that works out of Nigeria. They said they don't have a phone number for these and that they'd continue taking money out every month for up to three years. They said that this is a new practice that they do with ALL customer details that they have gotten since November and they have every right to do it.

What can I do now?

Well I was also charged £89.95 and £39.95 by Pound Saver and Classic Living respectively. Have called the number provided and the person said the refund will be in my account within 5-10 working days.

Will the refund actually be processed or should I begin informing the Fraud Team of my Bank and the Police?

Also on the call, I explicitly asked if that would be the end of these charges and he said yes.

As a student, I really cannot afford for these charges to continuously be debited from my account.

Be very careful - I cancelled my debit card last year after the same thing happened to me and lo and behold, this year again money has been taken out, using the new card number - I have no idea at all how they go this. Beggars belief that these gangsters are basically mugging people and no-one is doing anything about it - I even wrote a letter of complaint to my bank stating that I would be holding them responsible for any more payments taken by Classic Living CD but they have still paid out and I have to go through the disputed payments system.

This company has taken money out of my mums bank account amounts of £1.60 and then £89 ect adding up to the grand total of £305.10. She also said she had never signed up for anything and money had been coming out her bank without her knowledge as she is always in hospital. Also surely if we are a member of this scam club surely we should be getting something back if we're paying out that much money to them? And as for the workers of this company in the above posts ^ if ur company Wernt a scam how come

15.95 was taken from my account today, and i've NEVER bought anything from any TV shop.... : S LEV8. *POUND SAVE CD (shown on bank statement)

i bought an item from thanet direct poundsaver took 91 pounds from my account i phoned them two times they promised to give the money back 3 months later still not sent me my money

IT IS A SCAM JAMES-JUST YOU WAIT UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO YOU!!!!!

On Feb 01 My credit card company statement told me that two payments had been made to classic living, phone number 0800 0962926. One was for £1.60 and the other was for £49.95. I knew nothing about these payments. I phoned the number, went throughout the usual machine and got to a human being who was, to be fair, perfectly pleasant.

The lady in question explained to me that classic living is a membership discount service that gets you discounts on goods that you buy online. I did not understand how a discount service could be costing me money but there you go!

Anyway, she was perfectly happy to cancel my membership and give me my money back. This has now happened. But I cancelled my card and got a new one, just in case.

I hope this is helpful to anyone who is in the same situation.

I'd just like to add my recent experience with this company

A year ago my wife purchased something off a TV shopping channel, and the person on the phone got quite pushy about this membership offer, sending out vouchers and you don't have to pay for a year. My wife said no, but they got pushier and said they'd send the vouchers out, and all my wife had to do was send them back. lo and behold, the vouchers have never arrived.

My wife tried to get petrol today, but because this suspicious transaction was blocked, her card was frozen.

I've just spoken to the company on the number above, and the very apologetic chap on the crap line refunded our money. Rich22, thanks for your info, or we'd still be £50 down

Well just called my bank, cancelled card and any out going payments. The bank are now investigating as Fraud and will try and get my cash back...

I have never bought anything from a shopping channel and I have no idea how these people got my details. They have taken 2 payments of £14.95 and I have no idea why. I will be ringing them first thing Monday morning and asking them then I will contact my bank and the police. This is pretty worrying how on earth have they got my details? I am just going to shut the account and get a new one I don't want this to happen again. Are there people out there selling these details?
