- Richard replies to Emma| 1 replyI've just cancelled my membership and they said they were very sorry and they would return my money within 3-4 working days. BUT...when I looked, the money had been returned in full - but they took £110 out on the same day. When I called them, they told me that it was standard policy for early cancellation and that I had agreed to it.
I NEVER AGREED TO IT!! - Mrs. Ellie ViateDear ex-money owners,
I pretended to my boss that you said you wanted the membership. Then I signed you up for it and took your money. Will you get it back, at best, some of it.
Night night
x - del| 2 repliesmy father was scammed by this company recently... might be an old man now but they have seriously messed with the wrong people and wrong family... hiding in NI or Nigeria wont help you!
anyway for the record my father HAS never used his card to buy anything from a TV shopping channel so the company has obviously got his details using fraud...
they charged him 1.60 twice then 90 odd quid... luckily he was sharp eyed enough to spot the first 1.60 so the bank have refunded...
anyway like I said... picked the wrong family this time... hope James and co from your scammy customer service team enjoy their food through a straw! - simon replies to del| 1 replyokay well after seeking legal advice... here has what has happened and what you should do...
poundsaver and classic living L8 receive your credit card details from companies such as Thane Direct...
when you buy a product from them either online by phone or using shopping TV... some people don´t make the connection but you gave them your credit card details at some point!!!
they also offered you subscription to some free voucher money saving scheme... you probably said no but they decided you said yes!!! or simply suped you into saying yes!!!
so the problem starts here... banks, the UK fraud squad etc.. know all about these guys so you should get your money back... keep calm, keep calling...
some good news is that they recently unwittingly duped a QC who decided that he wasnt simply happy with a refund and is going after these companies with the full force of the law... when your title is Lord ... it helps!!!
but simply getting your money back isn´t enough because these people are still doing this... to stop them doing it to others...
a) denounce them to the authorities...
b) contact your local MP
c) spread the word using your facebook, twitter, internet chat sites etc;....
You are not stupid many people have suffered... a clever scam but as usual not clever enough... - del replies to simonwhat´s funny is that the guys doing these day in and day out work in some call centre.. one is based in NI... will publish the details soon... they get minimum wage for screwing people over...
the big guys are Nigerian based and one address has been traced to Monaco...
messinf with a famoly who have connections and served through the serb conflict may have been a bad idea guys! - doreen| 5 replieshave tried this number only to be told i have dialed the wrong number.

- Ellierose replies to maryg| 2 repliesI have had the same thing happen to me. I used my card on-line via the BNL website a year ago and apparently I had signed up for a discount voucher scheme........ which I did not do!
I contacted my bank and they supplied me with the details of the company. I telephoned and was told the voucher scheme is a re-occurring debit which is annually re-newed. I have had the subscription cancelled and have been informed the money will be paid into my account within 10 working days ...... Ummm, we shall see!
The telephone number is: 08000962926
I hope this is of help to others. - Lee replies to Ellierose| 1 replyHey,
Today I looked at my bank statement and noticed £14.95 has been taken out of bank!!! Couldn't work out what it was ,so googled LV8 POUND SAVER that was stated on my bank statement! Then I seen all these complaints from you guys about these scum bags! They have taken a few payments off me. I have never used my bank details for tele shopping or I have never received anything in return from this money going out of my bank or any letters stating this was going to happen! My bank also told me that they had took money out of my card that had expired.....which my bank was confused about...anyway my bank have blocked them from doing this and classed this as fraud! I'm fairly clever about using my bank details online and shocked that this has happened to me!
Anyone have any advice for me what I should do please?
I hope one day I meet these little b******s behind those computers with my bank details who have caused me [***] and stress in my life which is not needed! I also wish the company gets shut down and every single person working for that company suffers without a job and becomes skint and homeless because at the end of the day they are thief's and evil!!!!
Thanks and I hope you all get your money back!
Lee x - Pat replies to WIGANER - PAULHi I have just received my credit card statement and was shocked to see £1.60 and £51.55 spent on my account as my balance was nil. Looked on line straight away and seen they were a ripe off so phoned natwest explained what had happened and cancelled my card right away and they are sending me forms to fill out to pay me back my money. The worring thig is my card is kept in a safe place at home and I dont use it, so how they got the details is a worry.
- David ThompsonI am also a victim of Thane Direct,
I ordered my steam mop in February 2012, there was no mention of any membership scheme whatsoever.
On March 1st 2013 I was looking in my online banking and saw amount for a total of £54.14p
It was a company called LV8 classic living and l knew that l had never ordered anything from them.
I got in touch with my credit card company and my card was cancelled.
I then get in touch with Classic living by email and they said that l could have a refund, 4 weeks later they refunded £49.95 and not the full amount of £54.14p,
Lucy from customer services alerted me that a previous amount of £89.95 that had been taken out sometime in 2012
They refuse to give me my money back as they say that l was out of time to claim.
So they say that l opted into a membership scheme when l ordered my steam mop.
If that was the case then surely the invoice that got with my steam mop would of confirmed the membership but there was nothing about memberships on the invoice.
If that was the case they never send anything in the post to confirm my membership.
This company is one big scam but l will pursue my claim through the small claims court.if necessary - S McCroryI ordered paint pad pro from Pitch World. I got a phonecall a day or two later asking me if I wanted vouchers , I said no I was not interested, but they put these vouchers in along with my order anyway.
That was 3yrs ago , I only noticed this year that they have been taking £99.99 each year since that is £299.97 . I went to my bank and they say this is perfectly legal.
How can one company pass on my bank details to another company without my consent and be legal.
Can anyone help me.- Caller: Pitch World

- gina leeI had a transaction gone out of 14.95 today from LV8 poundsaver. when I rang the 0800 0962926 number the foreign woman on the other end of the really bad line told me I had signed up for a voucher scheme in feb 2013 which I didn't. She told me she would cancel it for me but because it was after the cut off they could not issue a refund. So I called Halifax and they put a dispute on my card which will stop that company taking anymore money. looking back at my statements they've actually took a payment of 14.95 back in march too so I told the disputes team I did not recognise the transactions nor did I give them the consent to take this money. Halifax are mint! They told me they would issue a refund and claim the money back from the company but also told me the company may claim the money back from me again...but I've already blocked them from making transactions...end of! Just be careful when buying stuff and always read ticky boxes and small print. These guys are devious an sly and wouldn't think twice about robbing your baby of sweets if they think they could get away with it! I ranted about it and got it resolved. Good luck guys! :)

I was "caught" by the Flybe discount offer, declined the GBD membership, or so I thought, but discovered 6 months later that they had taken 6 monthly payments of £14.95 from my account.
I made one phone call a week ago, to the 0845 number given to me by Flybe, spoke to a very apologetic man by the name of Chris Murphy, who offered me a full refund and cancellation of my "membership".
Refund in full appeared on my statement today - very satisfied by their customer service response, if disappointed by the way the I got involved with them in the first place.
