This website is great, ive been bombarded with calls from this number for the last two weeks and now i at least have some sort of idea who it is! i don't understand why they always phone me during the day- im at work and always miss the calls. it means at the end of each day ive got 5missed calls from this number!! such a pain :(

2 times for 2 days

I got a call from this number today, it seemed oddly familiar tho I couldn't figure out why lol.  I also have an account with Barclays, but I've been to their website and looked up this number in the 'contact us' by telephone section, and it isn't listed anywhere there.

The caller is Barclays, no idea what they wanted as I didnt answer and rung it back.

I got a call from this number many time but i didn't answer them until today he called me again and he said it's Barcay,how ru doing? bah bah bah and he want to know my account information.i tould him my english is not good enought,Can u talk to my friend? He said:it's not around to talk about this,thank you bye.that is???

ps.Becareful and don't tell them any thing caz 2of my friend lost their monney from the guy who said it's from Bacray

this number have called me 3 times a day for the last 2 weeks. I never pick up. If it was important they would leave a message. Getting really annoyed with it. I bank with barclays and i'm going to go in and ask them to stop!

i hear train noises and then nothing calls me everyday if not twice!

The woman on the other end said she was from Barclays selling Personal Accident cover. Didn't ask for any personal information but I wasn't interested so politely declined and ended the call.  Very noisy in the background and she was clearly reading from a script.

Got the call, no one there and then the line goes dead.  These silent call are a nuisance to me, and would really bother older folk.

I am signed with the TPS and not a Barclays customer, so they are well out of order.

If anyone from Barclays reads this, you have no chance of doing any business with me.  Ever.

IT JUST FUKS ME OFF I NEVER ANSWER

i have received 3 calls a day since friday18 july, either no one speaks or

there is funny noise in background, im going in barclays tomorrow to complain.

They have called me everyday for the last two weeks, around the same time 13.00-15.00 but I've never answered.

I have been getting this myself for the last 2 weeks, and ignored all of them, but this time decided to google the number, this thread came up...least I know who it is, I also bank with them and they will be getting a visit tomorrow asking them to stop.

Been getting calls from these jokers the past few days... 01273 384548 , and later 0800 121 8141...

Pushily asking me for personal, "confirmation" details... then she got moody, stroppy... and hung up. Stalinist "Sales" script only.

Some sales pitch from such a "Reputable" company!

Very, very Phishy- conditioning respondees/clients to divulge ANY unsolicited details (even name) is AGAINST THEIR OWN POLICY, and THAT OF THE BANKING SYSTEM.

Inexcusably so, from Barclays (It is, unfortunately...I checked)

THerefore, the Barclays client/answerer is seting themselves up as either being

1) a future potential victim,

(So, if TSHTF, "Ha", says B.Bank-"We told you not to divulge information...")

or is up for
2) An event that provokes a timewasting Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt (FUD) reaction regarding establishing the provenance of the call.
(I call it abusive-manipulative by any other name)

IMO the identification step is totally UNECESSARY, and is WORRYSOME.
Selling me something...? then SAY IT & SELL IT!

30 mins later...Barclays DO seem think that they're theirs... nice of them to list it as such... or, for that matter, to be so enthralled with their shoddy produce that the only places I can google up details of these numbers can ONLY be FOUND ON SITES LIKE THESE

But... it begs the question regarding the tickbox when the account was opened regarding words to the effect of

"Don't call me unless it's an EMERGENCY"

...and definitely "NO MARKETING"!

3-4 times every day, last 3 weeks... kill em all...

I got vodafone contract last month on LG Secret mobile. Every day since I have had a missed call from this number up to 4 times a day. Bonkers!

I keep missing the calls as I'm usually in work but can't wait till they call when I'm free because I'm going to give them an old fashioned feck off!

I'm not even with bloody barclays!!

I have had 3 calls from this number in 2 days - agian i have not answered as i didn't recognise the number

Oh my god!! I've just called the number it said to call when u call the number back, and got a f'in foreign idiot that put me on hold for 5 minutes only to give me an 0845 number to ring to stop the calls! I'm not calling it- i will let them call me again so i can answer this time and give them my piece of mind. Hopefully they will understand English.

This number has now called me for 4 days at any hour of the day, I have never answered it and afterI read all the above comments, are very pleased I haven't.  It is extremely annoying and I hope somebody can stop these idiots.
