i got a phone call from this number and it hung up on me

i got a call from this number and they hung up i wanted to know who it was calling me

I had just recieved a missed call from this number, I am with barclays and I am with Vodafone not Orange? they left a voice mail, i listened to it and it appeared just to be a dead line then got cut off! really bizzare. I feel like ringing my bank to query if they have tried to ring me!

Called me on 29-Mar-2011 at 18:45.
Claimed to be Barclays and since they knew my name and I gave Barclays my number and the number is rather new and just a few people got it, it is very plausible that the caller was Barclays or got the number from Barclays.

Asked me whether I would allow this call to be recorded for training and quality purpose or something like that and I answered "no" and then the guy asked "why?" and I simply said, that I don't like it and then they hung up on me without any further comment...

Got the same call just a moment ago. Didn't pick up because unknown number and I am not expecting this call

Just got a missed call from this number... didnt hear the phone ring and I wasnt sure whether I should call back as no message was left. Decided to search for the owner of the number and I am glad to read these posts... certainly wont bother

This number calls me frequently I will not answer as I do not know who it is ...... it is becomming very irritatting as it happens daily sometimes up to 3 times per day. They never leave a message.

I got a call a few days ago and was cut off as soon as I answered and they just called back now and it's Barclays bank offering me a personal insurance deal/offer apparently you can get over £700 for a fractured leg or arm!

I'm receiving call from this number, but  why they r calling ?

this number call me since 3 weeks 2 times in the day. One time i picked up and i heared only my voice. Next times i never pick up. I dont know who is it. I never pick up numbers which i havent in my phonebook

the same with me... 2 times in 2 days...

i haw recieved it before...

I joined Barclays a mere few weeks ago. Now I too am getting these calls. Yes, it's definitely them. But as was pointed out a couple of years ago on this thread if you ring 1471 and use 3 for ringback you'll get this message: "You were called today by Barclays. We will try and call you again. It is nothing to worry about.  If you don't want us to call you again please call 08000831856 and follow the instructions."

It's full name (pause) then your telephone number (pause) then your postcode. That's it.

Of course we are advised not give out personal details over the 'phone, and for all I know this could be another scam, but your details are 'public domain' to anyone who wants them anyway so I don't bother (take it from one who knows: all attempts at 'privacy' are purely cosmetic; we went digital [computers, 'phones, TVs and so on] to allow population monitoring, not because it's better).

I got a missed called from this same number this afternoon. I was in the shower so I couldnt answer it. Well I will take it as a missed call from barclays based on the comments on this page also being a barclays customer.

i got a call from this number this afternoon however im not with orange, im with o2 and barclays. i didnt catch the call but there wasnt any message or voicemail left to me.

I also got a call from this number and I didn't pick up as I knew it would have been some marketing call. Thanks for your help everybody.

i am with vodafone.
i keep persistently receiving call from this number.
i am not with barclays
and the recently keep getting calls from banks asking for a odd name.
i have received calls from a number of banks.

i got the call from this number today,left a strange message on my answerphone just noises and what sounded like a small child in the background.  i am not with orange or barclays and i am x directory
