these people call me about 10 times a week!

Just had a missed call- Didnt see it to pick up- no message left.

Got called by this number today. Don't plan on calling them back but the idea that this is a Barclays marketing call sounds plausible in my case.

For anyone annoyed by marketing calls you can always add your number to the TPS. This is the "telephone preference service" and any data provider that sells their data (such as phone numbers) to marketing companies must filter their data against the TPS-list. I used to get loads of landline marketing calls and now virtually zero.

They have been calling for a few days....but I could not pick up as I was at work....no voicemail left so I won't call back!

Numerous missed calls from this number; am with Barclays so that would make sense. Picked up and a bloke asked to speak to me by name; but line quality was so bad (sounded like he was speaking through a Dalek voice mask or something) I couldn't be bothered even to say goodbye.

i am staying at my old address (which i left 18 months ago) and the land line rang I answered and they asked for me - I said that person doesn't live here anymore! i am with Barclays and Orange but they both know my new address and contact numbers!!!

I keep getting these stupid bloody missed calls to - I dont answer them - I am with Barclays and 3 mobile - never had them before - dont wanna call back as 0800's are too expensive from a mobile and have no landline

I've been called three times in two days now.  Most annoying!

I also received several calls from that number and never answered.
I am with O2, so it should not have anything to do with the telecommunications company.
Those people who are calling definitely use a computer programme which gives them numbers from all providers randomly. As soon as they called once your number is saved in the database and they will try again and again...

I know something about these systems. Don't trust them!!!

This is definatley Barclays bank plc offering Personal cover.

Just dont answer if you dont want the service - I told them i dont want it but they keep calling.

wish they wouldn't do it as I keep thinking they want money off me. glad to know it's just a sales call though and not barclays vying for my blood again.

According to this website: http://www.sjgl.co.uk/nuisance-callers.htm it's some scam where they want you to call back at a premium rate, it's in a big list of nuisance numbers. Could be true, but I am with Barclays anyway, so I won't be answering.

Me too... have had 8 missed calls over the past week which has been annoying!  Finally answered today and told them to stop calling me, i asked if that was barclays - yes! and asked if they were selling insurance - yes! I told them not to call again.

Answer, ask who is calling and what they want (usually it's Barclays, so unless you're particualrly lonely or need more converts so you can to get to level 3 and learn the cosmic truth about Xenu) say whoever they're after is out, and can they call back in say...ten minutes. Then get on google, and find yourself a nice litttle repost for dealing with nusiance callers. May I recommend

Yeah... I had a call from them twice in five-minutes... on the land-line. I dialled 141... then when I hung up... they rang straight back. I'm not answering. [***] them... giving me anxiety attacks like that. I just wanna cut my toe-nails without this politics.

Called the number back. It is marketting line from Barclays Bank. They offer a further number to call if you want to be removed from the list.
