and.... AGAIN they call!!

In spite of fact I have now made over 6 written compaints to BT about these cold calls, still they ring! And in the evening too! As a disabled person, with a serious chronic illness (which I have repeatedly pointed out to them) their persistent calls are MORE than inconvenient.

In fact, am about to report them to OFCOM for the excessive nuisance calls, in spite of several written compaints to them asking them to stop! I've been on TPS for many years, and yet BT (in one of their replies to my compaints) "advise" me to go onto TPS!!! So... they CLEARLY do not read their screens before calling, as TPS should flash up against my number!!

Plus, get this... the cheeky BT beggars then asked me to PAY for their BT Call Privacy service, to stop THEM calling me!

BT are the ONLY company that consistently cold call me, even after requesting so many times that they de-list my number from their systems. Orange and Barclays also call, but much less frequently. Nowhere near as much as bl**dy BT.

when you call 17070 for BT line tests.  if you select for a ring back test  -- this is the generic BT number that shows.

FIVE SILENT CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER THROUGHOUT THE DAY:

BT will call you from this number if you have order a number transfer or a line changed.

they keep calling all I do is press redial back and then hang up ......
I keep doing this at least 40 - 50 times so that it cost them and they will pick up on it as all calls are logged with \bt and YES at their COST not mine as its 0800 yippee!!!!

If they call me again I will do the above again to them fortunate for me I do have time on my hands !!!

Had 5 calls from them today.  Pick up they hang up.  The last time I answered on hands free and then after about 20 seconds someone said "hello" on the other end so I just left the phone on.  If it is BT and as a lot of the people on here, including myself have stated that we are signed up to TPS, why can they cold call?  I will keep answering the phone and not saying anything if they keep ringing.  Hopefully they will get the message.

This number keeps ringing in the evening on our phone/fax line, but when I answer, they hang up!  Why!  Redial the number (BT answering service).

I've paid a company to stop these calls - now going to complain to them.

Just missed a call from this no. to my mobile.
On returning call was advised that calls to this number may be charged at higher rate. (Hung Up)

I have just had a call from these and they asked for the bill payer,I said she is not here at the moment can I ask who is calling? She replied it was a courtesy call from BT

calls daily. I don't pick up the phone when I see the number on the caller ID display.

I have received a number of calls from this number and it is always silent when I pick it up. Over 6 times in the past 2 weeks.

Just had two calls one after the other from this number - the second time I did catch a girl laughing and then nothing. Most annoying to say the least!!

It's BT (or folks working for) trying to bring customers back to their service and add extra packages to the standard line rental. As it is, we were already on the way back to them via a recent postal campaign response which guaranteed a free £15 shopping voucher and no funny add-on packages. Responding directly to them to organise the switch probably won't get you that voucher.

They sound very amateur at their job, and it's easy to see it. Ask them to confirm your telephone account number (written on your bill) if you want to see if it's legit. Though for me, caller ID and this website was enough ;-)

When this numbers calls I quickly answer then hang up simply because i have not paid my bill and could not give a flying toot!!!lol
