Report a phone call from 08003289393 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- ZOEWe have had many calls on our landline from this number, now we don't bother answering.
At my house we ask to any caller who they are first then say "Sorry But We Don't Take Marketing Calls At Home, Ok? Thank you.." and hang up. If it's THAT important they can always send a letter if they are who ever they claim. I'd advise you NEVER to pass on any information over the phone as you don't know who it is! - DontLikeColdCalls!Complaint seems to have worked!
We received a call from this number; it was BT staff trying to sell products. When I asked not to be contacted again due to a number of cold calls on my answer machine with no message left and generally being pestered by this number the member of staff spoke over me and became quite rude!
I visited the BT website under the “At Home” section, then under “Feedback & Complaints”, then under, I wish to make a general complaint. I Complained about the calls and the member of staffs attitude to my polite request and asked to be removed from ALL forms of Contact from BT. To my surprise I had a response same day apologising and informing me we have been removed from the lists. (Fingers crossed) This is the link to the complaints section:-

I was suspicious because the caller knew the name of my home business, which BT wouldn't know about. Then he asked if I had broadband, and I knew then that this must be a scam, because BT supply my broadband service, and therefore they would know that I had broadband without having to ask. I hung up. If it really is BT, they need to get their act together to prevent people thinking they are fraudsters!
- Mike| 1 replyThis is BT! Some of you people are so paranoid. For one it's a 0800 number so you can't be charged! lol.
It is a BT call centre which i believe is located in india or parkistan (i'm not expert). they have no customer service experience and will either confirm something which you ordered with BT or they will try to sell something. I think BT should teach them some basic skills as obvously people are not happy with the service. - salmani received at least 8 call continiouly out of which i received 3 of them but no one replied from the other side accept that i heard the sound of key strokes,
as soon as i cancels this call with in 10 sec i was again receiving another call from the same number... i think this a VoIP virus/scam.... which Technology experts are not aware of.....
hope nothing is taken out from my mobile credit. and that my ID is not misused.
if you know about any information regarding this bug. let me know please at s_jamali@yahoo.com - SCott Millar| 1 replyit's BT wholesale, if you've had issues with broadband it there team ringing you.
- species5618this is a BT Caller ID, ALMOST EVERY phone in EVERY BT office presents this caller ID when it is used,
anyone who knows someone who works for BT can tell you this - mavJust let this one ring out on my mobile and no message left. If it's BT surely they'd ring the land line first? I've not contacted them and don't have my broadband with them so I cant see any reason (if it is them) other than sales to be calling me. I might add the mobile is my business number, so whoever it was got the details that way.
- Steve| 1 replyI just got a call from this number saying that it is a reverse charge call from Mark and asking If I will accept it?... Press star key to accept. Well I have a brother called Mark so I thought it was some kind of emergency and I've never had another reverse charge call to compare it with so I pressed the star key. Then I was put through to the sound of peole talking (like in a bar or busy area) and then the phone went dead. 11.20pm on a Friday night's a pretty frightening time to get a call like that. Sounds like it's some sort of scam - anybody know if I'm now due to get a stupidly high bill for this reverse charge? and am I destined to get a glut of this sort of thing from now on?
- ToAllYouLosers| 3 replies08003289393 is a standard BT presentation number that comes as the CLID display and it is registered with Ofcom and it not illegals. If you are getting calls from this number it is BT call center staff who is chasing you to pay your unpaid bills for more than 3 months. And yeah, make sure you pay your bills !
- ChrisI keep getting calls from this number even after BT have removed my contact details from their database (allegedly).
- sammyI've just received a call from this number - didn't answer. I am completely up to date with my BT bills and always have been so it's nothing to do with chasing unpaid bills. Probably a marketing call.
- Pedalling PeteAnswered call from 08003289393 and reply was in German, and he immediately hung up. Not my language so don't know if he was apologising or what.

- FrazerI had a call at 1.55pm today. An Asian woman asked me for the account holder, which isnt me so i told them they are away but they kept asking for the account holder or somebody else to speak to. I hung up, went to ring 1471 but they were still there having a chat with their collegue.
- Charlie360| 1 replyJust add this number to list of blocked numbers by pressing;
14258[phone number]#. It worked for me. :)
(It has to be the last number that rang.)- Caller: BT
- Charlie360I was wrong it doesn't have to be the last number. Also it may be a reminder call (like for an alarm), in that case you can cancel all reminder calls by;
#56# - Charlie360
- KateI had a call from the number yesterday - it said they were from BT and had seen my business advert in the local free newspaper and wondered if they could come round to ask me about whether I wanted to be in the new phone book. So I arranged an appointment.
I am getting suspicious, though, because the person on the phone asked me to supply my address and this is what is disturbing me, because BT should surely be able to identify the address from the phone number. Also, they didn't confirm that they were from BT until I had confirmed who I was and that doesn't seem right to me.- Caller: BT
