This number has been calling my landline for the past three days while at work. returned the call today line engage. If this company is working for BT from the comments by others their way of doing business is unprofessional and needs to stop

Arrgh, same here. Had a missed call from them pretty much every single day for the last two weeks!

Spoke with a very nice lady who is going to remove my number from the list. She explained that its a computer generated number whereby the computer simultaneously contacts multiple numbers but it is only the person who picks the phone up first that gets to speak to the telesales person (or whatever there title may be) the rest are simply put back into the system for the computer to pick them up again and......yeah you get the picture.

Hopefully she will do as promised and remove my number from the list, but she did seem a canny woman all the same.

I agree with Lisa, the times I run to answer thinking it's an important call i wait for then when the important call comes i ignore it thinking its these IDIOT TIMEWASTERS GRRRRRR!

get a call on 1471 every day on this nos press 3 and get told setanta BT or other comps i subscribe , if they need to talk to me leave message or send me a letter,if not sod off

why not give them a silent call!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number has started calling me lately and I get 3 or 4 calls a day now from this number. Why doesn't BT shut them down.

I just answered the phone to this number
Normally it goes dead....
There was a woman from BT offering BT Vision bla bla bla package
30 odd quid 1 off payment, for all the cool channels etc
No monthly fee...
If this is BT, they will surely know I pay DD so why do they want my Credit Details?
Oh that's another thing it will go on my bill, my bill is DD
Oh it's ringing now

this no has called several times over the last week every time i answer they hang up very very annoying!

Same story as everyone else - I am TPS registered and have today registered with Ofcom silent call guard - I have also gone onto OFcom site and filled out formal complaint form - which I would advise anyone else to do if they are in same situation - OFcom will only act if enough people complain!

(Under terms of Ofcom, they are obliged to broadcast a recorded message in the event of abandoning an outbound call, stating who they are - on no occassion has this happened - they are clearly flouting the law)

ive just answered yet another call from this company ! how annoying !!!!!!!! the phone just goes dead after about 30secs . whats the point in that !!!!!!!!!!????????? Alan - WHAT A GLAMAROUS JOB U HAVE.  NOT! YOU MUST BE SO PROUD!

Over the last week or so we must have had 20+ calls from these people, always hang up - getting slightly p***ed off with them.

Will be sending email asking for details to be removed.

They told me they were from Setanta Sports.
Guess what, apparently I'd got a free trial of Setanta! All I needed to do was subscribe to either the satallite or cable service.....
They hung up when I said I'd already got it via Sky...

In total 10+ missed calls this week plus 2 calls tonight,all ignored.
Have emailed requesting my removal from call list else I will report it to the police as harassment.(As earlier comment did)

Called 3 times today - I ignored it.

Called again; this time I answered quickly enough for them to speak with me.
He said that he was calling from BT (not true, they are actually calling on behalf of BT).I explained that I was reporting them to the TPS, because their calls are annoying, not required and also asked him to remove my number from their database. Let's see...
