I've been getting these calls up to 7 times a day for over a month now!! Just called the 0191 525 7000 number and a very polite lady said she would remove me from their list immediately!

As Dan suggested I also reported them to Ofcom:

0800 4082680 has been calling me all week!!!!!  At all times of the day! I answer, there is a pause, and then i hear ringing as if im actually calling someone!!  I put the phone down as soon as there is a pause now but its really starting to get on my nerves. If they want to speak to me that badly why not ever leave a message?!?!? Mmmmm.

Why in this controlled world is this allowed?

This number keeps dialling then hanging up when I answer.

I just had these half wits ring me! Call their number 0191 525 7000 and apparently they will take you off the dialler. If you also tell them you will invoice them for your time if they do it again it helps !!

This number called me last night and they said they were from BT. The guy asked me whether I was interested in BT Vision and when I said no, he asked me why. I told him that I wasn't happy with BT (due to an ongoing problem I have with them) and he just said "Oh ok, thank you bye!" and that was it. I did 1471 after the call and got this number.

Recieved a call from this number, as Steve has previously said "I have recently been having loads of calls from these people and always the same - pick up call and phone goes dead.

An earlier comment was for the company in Sunderland - I am just placing this to say that the information given is correct - it is a company called 2Touch, based at Camberwell Way, Doxford Technology Park, Sunderland SR9 9XZ.
They describe themselves on their website (www.2touch.co.uk)as 'the customer lifestyle management company' - whatever that means!

I called the Sunderland number and asked the lady who answered whether they own the 0800 408 2680 number and she said that they do have that number.
It sounded like she gets a lot of these calls a day from people who have been harassed!

Just do as the previous information suggested and call them and ask them to take your number off of their list.
She said they would and so I shall keep a watch on my caller ID in the near future."

Follow his advice he is spot on!

Missed call a couple of times as not near the phone.
Caught it the third time and it started dialling out. I hung up immediately.

Annoying!

It's happening every 10 minutes! I just got off the phone to them and told them to take me off their call list as I don't want to do business with them...if they ring again I'll be less civil!

This is completely unreasonable. I have been recieving at least 3 calls a day from this number for the last few weeks. Each time I pick up, the line just goes dead. Beyond a joke. Have made a complaint to Offcom. I would encourage others to do likewise, as Offcom do not investigate individual complaints, only those that recieve a sufficient number of complaints.
Wasn't there some new legislation out to help reduce these 'silent' calls?

Unwarraanted, unslicited phone calls from this number - two or three times a day.  Never anyone there when answered - pain in the ass!

Rang the number for 2-Touch in Sunderland (details left by Kerry on 8th July - see above - and got put through to Nuisance Calls dept who were terrific.  They run a number of call centres and that number is their CLI identifier. They identified that the number had been given to them by BT and they were calling about BTVision - the broadband alternative thing to Sattelite TV.  Very polite and promised to flag my number up and do not call and in future any time my number comes into their call centre from other companies it will automatically be cancelled.  Sounds positive - give it a try.

They have called twice today - but a silent call when I answer. this is not the only nuisance phone number that has rang today. Fed up with them.

Anyway, after doing a bit of google research, it appears to be a Sunderland based company called 2Touch.

Yet another waste of time! Does TPS mean anything?

They called me 2day but I ignored them, that's the solution.

Received a call today - inconvenient+++ with my wife heavily pregnant.

On the news this a.m. it was reported that a company was fined £50,000.00 by Ofcom for making silent telephone calls.

GO ahead report them.
