Remember for all of you who say you are ex-directory, TPS etc and wonder how these marketing lot still get hold of your number, BT can very often be the source. And as you see in their reply they then try to sell you products to stop these calls which they instigate.Get in touch with BT now.

I am fedup with calls from this number - every half hour or so yesterday, but I had to answer the call as I am mystery shopping the company! I can tell you that I did not write a very good report about their service

Even after I had received a successful call from the company they still plagued me with abandoned calls so I had to 'zap' them with my trueCall unit from www.truecall.co.uk

If 0800 408 2680 calls you, there is just a recorded message saying who has called. If you want to give the company a taste of their own medicine then call them back on another freefone number  - 0800 694 4075 and when they answer just tell them THIS IS A SILENT CALL and say nothing else or say THIS IS AN ABANDONED CALL and hang up!

This company really needs a taste of their own medicine!!

Got a call. Rung them on the number above. Spoke with complaints who way BT asked them to call.
2Touch Acxiom agreed not to call me. I have complained to BT. We got a whole heap of silent calls a few years ago which displayed no number but suddenly stopped when we asked BT how we could stop them.

    Dear Ms Cooper

I just wish to make you aware that my mother (aged 83) has received numerous abandoned phone calls from 2Touch (up to 7 per day) for the past 22 days.

My mother is intelligent but those abandoned calls (with no message) means she cannot contact you to get the calls stopped. I am aware of the OFCOM rules on abandoned calls and your company is clearly in breach of those rules by not having a recorded announcement on abandoned calls stating the company you are acting on behalf of.

Yes, you do pass the Caller Line Identity but calling that freefone number 0800 408 2680 all I got was a recorded message indicating that you are acting for British Telecom, EDF Energy, Natural Collection and Setanta Sports. At the end of the message the calls cuts off and you provide no number to call so that the calls can be stopped so, I called each of those companies but none would not help me as I had no proof which company 2Touch was acting for!!

My mother has no access to the internet and it was only by me using the internet that I could get these calls stopped. The first problem was figuring out how to spell 2Touch! When I did get through to 2Touch it transpired that 2Touch was acting on behalf of Axa to sell a funeral plan (sic) but AXA was not one of the companies mentioned on the recorded message (another breach of OFCOM rules).

Quite frankly, I think it is wholly reprehensible that a company, such as 2Touch, should fail to abide by the law. As a company, you don’t seem to comprehend what effect these phone calls have on the elderly. My mother has lost a lot of confidence in just three weeks and all because of your company’s failings.

For these reasons, I have lodged complaints with both OFCOM and the DMA. I have also taken steps to ensure that my mother no longer has dealings with any company that uses 2Touch. I have written to the chief executives of both EDF Energy and BT to say why my mother has moved her business elsewhere and also to the Chief Executive of AXA as to why my mother will not be taking out a funeral plan with them; this was after taking the precautionary measure of providing those companies with MY phone number on my mother’s accounts so that if 2Touch call her to get her business back with BT, EDF Energy or AXA then they will, I am afraid, have to suffer the consequences of a verbal thrashing from me.

Should there be any further abandoned calls from your company, I will have no hesitation in seeking a court injunction under the Protection from Harassment Act.

I've been receiving these "silent" automated calls for days now. I've done all the reporting, plus played hell with BT for giving them my number in the first place..........
The company has their own "Contact us to enhance your business now" number which is 0800 6944075 if we all ring this FREEFONE number a dozen times during office hours and immediately hang up on answering, perhaps they'll get the message. If you dial 141 first, it withholds your number too. Thank heavans for memory redial phones  - I know what I'm going to do come Monday!!!!!

If you can't beat 'em, Join 'em and get even!!!!!!!

I got a live call from this number saying 'on behalf of BT' offering BT Vision. I've been trying to get BT vision for weeks anyway so I let the guy have his way - I'm probably flagged as a sucker now for more calls!

I'd been waiting for answers about BT vision from their useless call centre in India - so I grilled this guy good and proper.

Called me 10 times in less than 10 minutes.  The first call I answered - calling from BT, who do you have your calls with?  I replied politely that I was not interested, they said OK and call was finished.  I ignored the next 8 calls, but the 10th I picked up "Can  I speak to Mrs T?" - NO  Now eff off and I hung up.

Not condoning the swearing, but they haven't called again yet.

This number has called me FOUR times today.  The first 3 times I ignored the phone and checked the number afterwards.  I answered the phone at 6:35pm.  All of a sudden I heard a ringtone as though I had dialled a number myself.  I hung up immediately, because I have heard of these scams whereby YOU end up paying extortionate costs because these scammers have phone you.  How do we stop this?
