its is virgin mobile, rang the number back after they thought it was appropriate to ring me at 8.45pm.

Just had a call from this number waking my little boy who has not been to sleep all day - thanks very much jack-[***]!  Even better, when my other half answered there was no-one there!

Will the jerks that keep calling this number STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have received a call from this number three times now. Each time it has rung for only a few seconds, too little time for me to answer it. I intend always to ignore calls from this number but I would like them to stop. If, as this website suggests, the calls purport to come from Virgin Media I will report it to them directly and ask them to deal with it. A large organisation has a better chance of investigating and stopping vexatious calls to their legitimate customers. I would suggest that everybody else takes the same action.

this number is a vergin number call customer services and complain i did they promised me i would not  get any calls

pERSISTANT AND CONTINUING NUISANCE

I have received many calls from this number on my land line and mobile, 08004089340, don't answer it it's a scam!!! It is not virgin media. I have reported it and you must too. If we all stick together on this then we can stop it for good.

These people call at any time of day or night.

Three times in two days (so far).  Each call rings and stops before I can get to the phone, although I believe I had one the other day and it was an Indian gentleman asking to speak to me by name but I put the phone down and thought that if it was important he would ring again.  He didn't.  I didn't check the number then but it was possibly the one that has called several times since.  Ar you saying it's Virgin Mobile making these calls?  If, so can they be barred as they are "nuisance" calls?

I've just taken a call from this number and can confirm it is virgin media. They were offering me a free for three months upgrade on my tv package but I declined as I will forget to cancel it and then get charged extra. Very polite indian male made the call and was very understanding when I declined the offer. He did ask me for my account password to which I didn't know so he went through other methods of confirming who I was eg, telephone number and how I paid my bill, he didn't ask for any other personal info and adressed me by my full name. Claimed to be virgin media, before I knew it she was saying the call was recorded and asking for my password.
I asked if she knew who I was and this was a marketing call why she needed to get all official and me logged into the system before I had an option to here what the offer was.
Anyhow she must not have liked my curiosity because she hung up.

Caller was foreign and said they were from Virgin Media wanting to tell me how I can reduce my phone bill. When I asked if I could call them back they said to ring150.  Have Virgin Media sold my number to a marketing company?

Received a call from this number this afternoon, asian lady from virgin media asking for password, I didn't give it but she carried on with her sales pitch anyway. Apparently offering better deal as I call 0845 numbers quite a bit but she talked non stop so I put the phone down.  I called virgin media and they confirmed she was calling from their sales team.

Received 5 calls on my mobile from this number did not respond,do not know who they are

I am a Virgin Media customer & even though I didn't answer it, I suspected it might be them (so they say) calling & I got the usual Virgin Media recorded msg saying one of the team have just tried ringing & not to worry as they'll try again.  I do not like marketing calls of any kind & when ringing the team through the normal channels, a cpl of months ago, I asked why someone had rung me from this number. There was no note on my account & no mention of them trying to contact me, but was told it was probably just a courtesy call. If it is kosher, then why does 'Virgin Mobile' not come up on tje screen when they ring, instead of an unknown number?
