this number phoned 3 time in the early hours of morning 4.10am and 2 after 6.00am

I get rung at midday every other day, and it is a voice text message.  So far, the two times I have listened, the first said 'Turn off all your lights' and the second said 'Hug a Tree'.  Am I being charged to listen?

To turn the service off and to stop these calls you need to phone 08005875252 fron your BT line then go for option 1 then option 5 :) job done

Calls all day - every 15 - 30 minutes.
Called 0800 5875252 and chose option 1 to change then option 5 to stop all sms calls to my number.
Says it should all be done in 20 mins.
We'll see.

This number calls me throughout the day, very annoying especially when you have children, they call morning,noon and night, it seems that everyone else this is happening to say that it's an automated call from BT (yet another reason for me to be infuriated with them) and that you have to pay £1.50 pm plus VAT to get rid of it. Think I might just get Sky line rental, I'm soooooooooooooo sick of BT it's pure harrasment and they're allowed to carry on getting away with it. A****OLES.

Just had 3 calls in the last half hour (From 11.05pm).  Thankfully Google brought me here! Used the number posted on the last page & allegedly my curfew was set at 11pm to 9am anyway.  Not happy as I'm meant to be up for work in a couple of hours...

I rang this number back and it told me to visit BT.com/bttext - which is just a page with terms and conditions on. I decided to ring the relevant no. to collect any text messages - but there were no texts waiting to be received. I rang BT who just offered to switch the facility off temporarily, but I couldn't be bothered wasting my time having to ring back up and have it turned back on. I told them it must be a fault their end and they should get it checked out. Not very helpful - just gave me another number to ring - 0800 077771 to look into it further/check for any fault. Not spending all day on the phone sorting out their faulty system. Up to them to sort out and not rely on the customer to do so. Very annoying!

blasted thing keeps ringing how do i stop this, got kids that need the phone for urgent calls this is really disturbing

just send details to watchdog to see if they will investigate this matter, i am concerned that if this happens to an elderly person who needs their phone it will be very distressing, i know my mother would be. please if you are being pestered log on to the watchdog web site and make a complaint.

This is SMS delivery system from BT. If someone sends you SMS to landline number this system's automates bot will read it for you.

This number has called my house number twice in 10 minutes. It is all quiet on the other end, no noise or talking, then it hangs up. Very annoying.I don't have caller ID on my phone so I got the number from 1471, then googled it. It's a pain in the rear getting these calls all the time!

I don't really understand also recieved 3 'dead' calls in 10 mins..no one there thought phone was broken. i've recieved text messages from bt before but they were audible. not this time!!!!!

the most annoying thing is that i don't even have a BT landline im with virgin so why do I still recieve them from BT?

BT Gave me the number 0800 587 5252 which allows you to shut off the text messages (I hope!)  guess we'll have to wait and see!

I've just had 3 silent calls from this number in 30 minutes!!  Who is it and why don't they speak, they've been calling for a couple of days now, its so annoying they don't speak to you!!!!

I was pacing the floor very concerned as my text message quoted that I had  an sos TEXT MESSAGE.I was so concerned I telephoned everyone I knew!!!
Needless to say they were all quite happy in their worlds.I then dialled 1471 got the number and searched the net which led me here.
I'm furious !!!!
To worry me like that!!!!!!!!!
The text message stated it was from 533678053 the rest of he message was very garbled.Also I selected to be ex- directory over 3 years ago now!
Someone should pull the plug on this scam!
