I had a phone call just wondering why be aprieciated I you could let me know who it is thanks

I got two calls from this number, irish lady asking for my ni number.  I asked who she worked for and initially she said dept of work and development.  I challanged her about csa, she then said she was from csa in belfast and its about a new service offered.  Then asked me for my nI number again.  I refused.  I then rang the csa who checked and no one was trying to contact me.  Plus there are NO SERVICES offered.  I said I think someone should check this because it looks like their data base has been hacked.

This number calls my UK mobile then hangs up, not sure who it is.. it has called a me a number of times over the last year once in the middle of then night. I work and live abroad so I have nobody back home I owe anything.. I have called the number back but it just gives a recorded message. I take it is it some sort of a SCAM.

got a call from this number. an irish lass on the other end. she was from the CSA. i am recieving payments through the CSA so it isn't a total shock for them to be in touch, but she sounded like an automated message. her tone of voice didn't change and i just had to answer yes or no to her questions. she phoned asking if i wanted text alerts for when i would be recieving my CSA payments and how much these payments would be.

This number has phoned me 5 times in the space of an hour. I suggest it's probably some sort of phising scheme. Ignore it.

This is funny (sarcasm) because the CSA wrote to me the other week saying they dont have my number on record anymore as they were deleting all my records (big case that resulted in them being very very wrong and compensating me), so how is it a couple weeks later they're ringing me?!

This is definately the csa, funny thing is they rang my mums mobile first and asked for my husband!!!
A few minutes later they rang our house phone and my husband spoke with them, the following day we received a letter from them with all the wrong information on. Totally imcompetent and very devious where the hell did they get my mums mobile number from?

I had a call from this no.08007838527 and a female start to speak about my son and she told me that I have a credit card and how much is my limit .Big Brother!!!!!!!!!

Its the CSA- genuinely. Don't call it back because they call you back. No scam.

I got a call from that number last night saying it was an urgent business matter.....!!! They asked me to call 0845... That was it, she then hung up!!!  Hows can I ring back if they dont leave a full number??? But, I don't claim benefits and the CSA have done nothing for 5 years, not m daughter is 18!!!

Just had this number ring me, when I answered I got a faxing tone (i.e. handshake)

i just received a call from this number i answered and they put the phone down on me!!!!!!! why the hell call me!!!!! i did 1471...it was 0800 783 8527...i rang it....(recorded message).. you were called today we were unable to get hold of you?... What!!!!! ......i answered you put the phone down on me!!!!!!!, hmmm i'm not to sure who it is? poss scam!

If it's the CSA, why are they ringing my work number (local government), I'm not married, I don't have children yet and I've not claimed any benefits?

I'll be ignoring it I think. If it's important, they will leave an answer phone message and a number for me to get back to them.

Its the CSA as I had quite a lengthy conversation with them!  No point ringing it back though!

The call will be from anyone of the government agencies ie HMRC/CSA/DWP etc.
When you contact them they give a different number from this one so that you get through to the relevant department that you are trying to reach.
The reason the calls all come from the same number is down to the telephone system. If you use a switch board for making and receiving calls (as any large organisatization will) it can be configured so that any call made outwards comes up as being the same number.
We used to do it an IT helpdesk we worked for, any of our phones could be reached via the direct lines, but if we called out it comes up as the same number.

The reason they are calling you could be down to any reason, this number has called me in the past for CSA, JSA and DWP

It is a governments number It was from the CSA.  Looks like this number is to do with every number that involvesa the government e.g tax, job centre, csa etc, government is a waste of space, they should be giving teenage girls the pill injection and find a stop for teenage boys apart from the snip and stop giving them free living and benefits, unwanted pregnancys would soon stop as kids would think twice about having kids knowing they wont have any help at all, the government encourages them by saying its alright we will give you a place to live and pay for your bills and food!  And the sensible hardworking people who actually want to settle down and have children feel that they cant because they cant financially suppport themselves and wont have much help whilst working and have gone past the teenage years, this government is backwards!!!!!

Answering a tel is NOT just frustrating these days its SCAREY.

and I wont give out MY personal details to somone I DONT know !!!!!!!!!
