Report a phone call from 08007838527 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Notanidiot| 1 replyIts just the benefits office/CSA. Nothing to get worked up about. How people can turn this into a conspiracy is beyond me. I've reported the scaremongering post on the first page as it is complete and utter lies, nobody can find out everything about us by phoning and hanging up. Dont believe these lies that were posted above.
- kersteinsince when do they phone at 8-40 am and why do they have a certain number of rings then cuts of ???
- kersteinI have just had a 'phone conversation with DWP pensions and in my case i would like to confirm that this nr. was from the pensions dept.
- WillisAlso missed the call, rang it back and a male voice said it was DWP and they would ring me back. Only wanted to explain something very simple, which would take 1 min on fone, so wen they do not get intouch with my ex about his daughters money, she will be the person suffering and not the male voice on the other end of the phone. Sort yourselves out.
- Caller: DWP
- laraIt probably is the jsa because I've been expecting their call but I specifically asked them on the form to call me later in the day because of my health condition, not from 9am!!
- BertTry this site...

You can search for any non-geographic number and it tells you who it belongs to. This number clearly belongs to the Department for Work & Pensions.- Caller: DWP
- Bret| 2 repliesThis is categorically, 100%, the telephone number of CSA and other government departments as I answered my call and I do have dealings with the CSA thanks to my delightful lying ex wife.
They are also devious as I have received calls from this number where the caller has stated they are from the Pensions Department, then when confirming who I am they tell me they are the CSA. I'm certain this must be illegal as they are attempting to contact people by giving the impression they are someone they are clearly not. I will continue to answer their calls but each time they lie about who they are I shall file a complaint.- Caller: CSA / DWP / Pension Dept.
- BrianYes, it's the CSA. They left a message saying it was the DWP asking me to ring back on 0845 6090072
- Caller: CSA
- ClaireI think its been established that its the DWP or someone calling about JSA. Not a scam, nothing suspicious. If you have no reason to speak to them just say so and ask them to write if its important.
They just rang me a minute ago and i missed it, if you've applied for JSA and you miss 2 phonecalls from them you'll receive a letter saying they've tried to contact you and for you to call them back, so if you're waiting answer it!! or you'll end up having to call them back.- Caller: DWP
- JamesI received a call from this number, not recognising it I didnt answer. I did apply for Job seeker allowance yesterday and asked for a PM call, they called AM, idiots.
- SarahThis number just showed up on caller display at work. God knows why the CSA would need to ring a Rail Station!
- KazzIt was the CSA asking about my X and a claim I had put in over 2 years ago...
- Caller: CSA
- Krispiit3 calls in the space of five minutes - I didn't answer the first two assuming it to be a sales call. Having read this page, I answered the thrid time and they asked to speak to someone who isn't me?!?!
- Davinai just got a missed call from this number also, googled it and found this site. The thing is i have just bought a new phone and number, which i have only given to my mother and my close family. But yesterday i left this as the contact number for my claim at jobcentre plus. I am not sure if it is genuine, but they did say they would call in the next two days...
- RichardI first got a call from this number about two weeks ago. Similar story to others, the caller claimed to be from the DWP and asked me for security information, which I declined. When I asked what it was about, they said it was a "personal matter". I suggested they write to me: they read out my address and I confirmed it was correct. A week later a form from the DWP turns up. I duly filled it in and returned it.
Today I picked up a voicemail from this number - it was around 2 & 1/2 minutes of silence!- Caller: DWP
- LouiseIts the CSA, they say they are from the Department of Work and Pensions to protect you as you may not want people to know you have dealings with them. As soon as they have verified who you are you will know the reason for the call!!
- Roy Gornallmy dad took a call from this number and caller would not leave details due to dpa. my dad would not give out my phone number due to this number not telling him who they were. they then phoned my works duty manager phone and i was unavailable due to working at the time. i tried to call back and it just said "sorry but you were unavailable when we called, we will call back later". i wish to know the nature of this call.
- Lister2020I've heard all the excuses about why people shouldn't pay upkeep to their child e.g. the mother will drink it all. It is the CSA responsibility to get the money to the primary carer of the child, at that point it is their moral responsibility to spend it on the kids, nothing we can do if she doesn't.
It is a lot easier to co-operate with them, as they can take your circumstances into account e.g. other children and how often you see the children in question.
Otherwise say goodbye to 40% of your net wage going straigt out of your paypacket. - CSA Worker| 4 replies"This is categorically, 100%, the telephone number of CSA and other government departments as I answered my call and I do have dealings with the CSA thanks to my delightful lying ex wife.

Until the 27th of October, the CSA was a part of the DWP, so no, they weren't lying. Go ahead and try to file a complaint for absolutely no reason why don't you.
Or would you rather we start "Hey we need to speak to X about his child support claim because he does everything he can to avoid paying maintenance to his children".
Since the 27th of October, we won't say it is the CSA until the person confirms it is the person we need to speak to, then we will ask for security questions.
Honestly, I feel sorry for some ex mothers and fathers because they want to see the kids but the ex partner wont and they are actually trying to get more money off of them by going through the CSA( and sometimes end up getting less) but as far as people who deliberately avoid trying to pay for the kids, I've no problem going straight to your employer and taking whatever amount out of your wage.
We have the power to negotiate the arrears payments as low as 5 percent of your wage or up to an additional 25 percent of your wage. I'm usually happy to always put it to the minimum but if I get an [***] on the phone ranting and raving at me and swearing, then I'm hardly going to do him a favour.
If you haven't got access and you want it, then fight for it through the courts. There's still no excuse for not paying towards the upkeep of your own children. - Mark| 1 replyJust recieved a call from this number and it hung up as soon as i said hello,i do pay the csa they do know where i work and they do know where i live so why not just send me a letter as i have never missed a payment and never plan to but hey thats goverment agencies for you bloody useless!!!!
