I am not convinced this is anything to do with the CSA.  It has all the hallmarks of a scammer who appears from time to time.  They are only interested in pay-as-you-go mobiles, which if the number is called from one all of your credit is taken.

Call Oftel and ask them to verify who owns the number.

Don't try those miserable [***] at BT as they are losing far too much money on their pension scheme they hate doing favours.

Called today asking for step son, who doesnt live here anymore,  Gave him correct mobile number for him and they have said will remove my house number.  Also didnt have my address for step son anyway.  Wouldnt say who they were just its private.

I made an online request from a call from the CSA to make a claim for child maintenance and this is the number they called me from about an hour later, its legit.

Yes this is definitely the CSA....I am awaiting a call back from the Enforcement Team and so I googled this missed number on my phone and it brought me to this, so I know this is correct.  For my purposes it is for information they have to give me but it is from the Enforcement Team and I'm sure if they left a message nobody would ever get back to them so they just say they'll call again!

lady wanted me to confirm my name etc etc well asked her who she was and got the " govt department' answer.. so refused to say anything to her, she then said she will send a letter !!! waiting now with baited breath ....

This is not CSA number - I've had dealings with CSA and all those numbers started with 0845

I spoke to the CSA today over a refund they owed me.  They phoned me back as they promised they would (I missed the call) but the missed call and answerphone message was from this number.  It is legit

Given the comments above re confidentiality why when I rang the number as left on my voicemail did the person answering the call say "good evening CSA" ? All my co-operation with them has got me so far is a weekly payment that is unaffordable to the point of not being able to afford to eat, and a complete disinterest in the fact that my ex partner's claim is fraudulent. So yes the number is a government agency, but the competence of the people on the other end of it is another subject entirely........

Have been getting a call on my mobile from this number all week.
When I havn't answered they have been leaving a voicemail asking for someone else.
On trying to call back on a landline I get the message "I'm sorry you were unavailable when we called , we will ring back later".
If this is a government deptartment..why do they not like you ringing them back?

I got a call from this number saying they from CSA and to confirm my DOB when I said what was this in reference to the woman said she couldn't discuss matters further until I confirmed my DOB. I said I would not confirm anything and said goodbye. When I checked out the CSA office hours they are Monday to Friday workers so why would someone ring on a Saturday? I also don't understand why they would ring when I don't claim any benefits as my partner and I both work and pay taxes. There is something dodgy about these so called government numbers! If they still wish to speak to me they can send me a letter and I come to the local office to discuss anything and not over the phone as you just never know who could be listening. Be weiry of this callers people they up to something.

i understand ur problem but they now are open saturdays as some people work monday to fridays

They try to catch you out and admit who you are, DON'T answer it, let them put it in the post. They are all thieves. a little info, did you know that CSA are a run for profit buisness on the companies house register with 21 CCJ's to the sum of £21000. Great people to do buisness with!

It is defo CSA, they have been calling me for weeks and I do not answer numbers I don`t know so they wrote to me with the usual rubbish about my spitful ex wife looking for more money. They also went to my employer without my knowledge or concent. I have also had 3 calls in the last 4 working days.....total harrasment!!  I then contact them and they tell me I need to increase payment and pay £500 back dated.....yet only made contact with me last week!!!! Joke...anyway it is CSA.

It is the csa. My ex is a dodger and the csa are in contact from this number weekly. It is not a scam.

I've just had a call from this number, the guy left a voicemail saying his name was John and can I call him back on 08457134734 with my National Insurance details. He didn't say where he was calling from, what it was about or anything. Very confused. But he'll be waiting a long time for me to call back!

Cheeky [***] try chasing the ones who dont pay not the easy target the ones who do pay i just wished i had you address i bet you would'nt be so bold in your answer then........
