Woman phoned from this number asking to talk to someone here who was not around, about a 'private matter'. She wanted to know the best time to call this person. When asked who was calling she refused to say so told her we don't take calls from anyone who does not say who they are.

This number may be used by other departments ie. DWP etc. However I have been contacted by this number several times and it has always been the CSA. Don't think its a scam at all however it does show how underhand the CSA can be.

This is the csa number i rang the csa and they verified they had tried to call me .

i had this call friday morning about 10am before i had to go into work, claiming they are from the CSA, i refused to give my personal and bank details as it is a scam full stop, i rang the number back on my landline and it rang with no answer, so i checked the CSA number online and the  number for them is and 0845 number not an 0800 number.

Yes youre exactly right, think also as parents we need to teach them better, most teenage pregnancies come from parents who were teenage parents themselves, stupid, nothing really to do with the csa though, the majority of clients they deal with are older and in 'proper' relationships or married, in this day and age its too easy to give up on your relationship than to work at it and the government doesnt help as they reward you better financially for being a single parent!!

really confused Christine, what exactly do you think they are doing wrong? Phoning you? They get continuous complaints about not meeting targets and about children living in poverty and the csa not getting money to them quick enough, they cant win, to call is obviously quicker than to post, youre living in the ice age, as for your husband providing for his family well is he providing for his 'other' family? the csa arent calling for nothing!!

Theyre not allowed to say where theyre calling from for security purposes, dont ring back then it wont bother them, hope youve put a claim in with the csa and u get fu*k all then!!

OMG people like you make me laugh, you state you ignored them and then complain when its backdated, also they never say your ex wants more money, they say your ex wants a calculation doing on your wages so youre paying the correct amount under child support law FOR YOUR CHILDREN!!!! If you read the paperwork correctly you wouldve seen that it also says if you ignore them they will go to your employer, of course they dont need your consent, now stop trying to avoid paying for your children, everyone is quick to hate the csa, its the carer of the child or children that ask them to get involved, they dont go touting for business for god sake!!

Stop complaining about the CSA and pay for your own fuc#in kids instead of expecting the state or a new partner to you inbeciles!!

i got a phone call from this number.it was the c.s.a. i gave a bit of dis-information to my ex partner a few days ago saying i was working on saturday.this number phoned my landline saturday morning,aking for my n.i number for security reasons and told me something i already knew.they were checking to see if i was working because my ex was the only 1 i told

Just checked csa number online not five seconds ago and its defo not a 0800 number it begins with 08457,so the other number wont be getting answered by me thanks

got call from this number 08007838527 when i pick up phone i dont answer as its normally a scam call or machine that cuts you off. This time i heard a girl say hello.I just hung up. when i rang the number back the message said they would ring back later. However when i ring 1471 on my phone it gives this number
0151 633 4201. Ive not rang that number as im not interested with the hassle but thort it my be usefull on here. Just a note Regards DWP Calls you should only deal by mail and only when You call them becouse of securty reasons. Any one could be DWP on the end of the line when they call you! A few carefull words and bingo the scamers have got your IN number or Date of birth.

just got call from this number and the man kept on asking for my name i kept on replying who is calling please he would not tell me then he asked if i have ever heard of myself and i said NOOOO NOW F*CK OFF .....

I've offered my ex money lots of times and I said I will bring it to her (she lives 350 miles away) just to see my boy she has refused this saying I'm not allowed to see him!!! I have not seen my boy for 6 weeks now but I have offered money she refuses not my problem!!!! Going through the courts now ...
