So what if you work for DWP my X husband is claiming CSA from me knowing his Daughter works full time and is not entitled to CSA, Child bennifit or Tax credits for her But NO ONE listens to me I just pay.. What A joke so chase him for all the over payment he has made and stop making my life hell!!!

cant understand why they are calling me then I am a 52yearold grandmother in full time work and this is my mobile number and has been for many years - I am not going to phone them back and waste my credit!!

i also had this number ring me today asking for me by fulll name... when asked who i was speeking to all she said was repeatedly asking if i was the person in question , in which i replyed u rang this number so who are u and where from as new number... she refused to say where she was from and just gave me a name zara.. so i hung up... if they cant identify themselves and whey they are calling then there s something obviously not right

same thing just happened to me & this is a new pay & go sim. how the hell do they know who i am??

if your not a dead beat dad an pay for your kids then they wouldnt be calling you at all

Just got a missed call from 0800 7838527, tried to call back was an automated message saying they would call me back, Thought it was strange so just looked the number up on the internet, its not the CSA as I have just called them & they don't use this number so beware sounds like s cam to get personal details!!

I keep getting calls on my work phone from this number...happening every 5 minutes for the past hour..and another one within 30 seconds of starting to write this! I just get what sounds like a fax machine though..very frustrating.

This number called my mobile then my landline. I ignored it (as many of you say because you can't be too  careful) whilst checking this website for info. I don't have any issues with any government department contacting me so answered when it called my landline. It was indeed the CSA with an update on a claim.

Firstly, can I just say that the person who called me from this number is definitely NOT from the CSA! I know this because I have never had anything to do with the CSA and besides my youngest daughter is 26 Years old!
A female called me tonight at 7.15pm from 0800 7838527, she asked for me personally by both Christian and Surname. I asked her "who was calling"? Her reply was "this is a private call" "Are you *****"? I said "I might be, but if you tell me who is calling I will be able to help you as I don't volunteer personal information to complete strangers on the telephone".
She simply repeated her question "Are you *****"? I told her that if she wouldnt tell me who was calling then I couldnt process her call in the appropriate manner. She still refused to tell me who she was or what the call was concerning, so I told her "I'm sorry I will have to terminate your call" and hung up.
Now this MAY be a call from some goverment agency as both my partner and myself are disabled, but why could the caller not confirm that they were calling from the DWP if that was the case and allow the call to proceed. But then again why would someone from the DWP call a couple who they know to be disabled at 7.15pm at night and even more strange it is my partner who claims our benefit  for us as a couple, so they would have no reason to contact me instead of her!
If anyone can enlighten me as to what agencies use this number apart from the CSA then I would be most interested to hear.

i can't believe the comments by some of the people on here about being 'grassed up to csa' etc... if you lay down and have a baby stand up and be a PAYING father!! jokes!!! if you don't want this number calling you then maybe you should stick something on the end of it before you go having innocent children that you're not prepared to pay for!

I only came across this thread as i too had a missed call from this number and was curious as to who it was, either way wether from csa or dwp i will be answering if they ring back.

I just had a call from that number aswell with a voicemail saying to ring back on a diff number regarding a personal matter, i couldnt hear the number so i called back on that number it said we called u & will back again etc after reading all the comments on hear about what the call could of been rearding i decided to ring the csa & they confirmed someone did call me at that time & yes the number does come up as an 0800 for some reason & also you cant call the number back so it is the csa :)

this number is CSA but i dont have any kids so why they ringing me?? :S

csa are the reason i dont work paying £70 a week is a bit extreme for 1 child i offered a lower payment they refused so i cut my losses and quit work. i am now happily living off the government and my ex doesnt get a penny me 1-csa0

the csa have been trying to contact me, they want me to contract with them, so they can take money and then take 80% of it for them selfs then hide the other 20% behind a mountain of paper work so the money never gets to where it needs to be. the csa is a company trading for profit go look them up on company house, they also have ccj's filed on them dating back years. they have no powers unless you consent to contract with them. please read this take note pass the info on. there are families in this country committing suicide thought the actions of this company. and to anyone who votes you are to blame.

to any csa workers [***] off and die, i will never contract to you because by doing so makes me a criminal just like you , your time is running out enjoy your time behind bars for your criminal actions :)

just answer the phone tell them to [***] off anything they have to say they can put it in writing on headed paper so they will be held under full commercial liability, don't confirm or deny any personal details over the phone it's a trick to contract with them. then they have the power to act in anyway they see fit over you. nothing you can do about it then. they got yeah hook line and sinker

The education you had at school has conditioned you to be a slave. the goverment of this country lies and feeds us misinfo and disinfo to keep you as a happy slave. the police and the courts are not part of are society they have there own it called the law society and they use there own language called legalese to fool us. many of the words in legalese sound just like english but the words have different meanings. i suggest you go grab yourself a law dictionary (blacks law book is a very good one most judges us it as a reference) and start reading every word of it. you will see what i mean in no time at all. it's the only way to understand the rules of the game they are playing with you. they created this game but never told you the rules of how to play it. infact they made sure you will never know the rules because they made sure the schools you go to will never teach you it.

I see there is a mass of selfish dreadful fathers above. Think that by avoiding ghetto CSA they are spiting their ex, when all you are doing is depriving your child and not stepping up to responsibilities like a real man. You will be judged by your children as the pathetic waste of space you quite clearly are. Should have it cut off before you receive your benefits.

I have just been called by this number. It was the CSA regarding my account. I was very dubious so i have just called the number on my letters from CSA and I can confirm that it was them who called as they told me everything that was told to me on the original call. They did say i did the right thing by checking though.
