I've worked at the CSA for 9 years and I can tell you now this is absolute rubbish, the number is taken from BT 118 or sometimes from other government sites like if Job Centre had your number we would ask them for it!

Do not answer this or call them back it will force them to put everything in writing that way you cover yourself as this goverment agency are well known to use aggressive and scare tactics over the phone.

I can assure you 100% this tel No is used by the CSA, I spoke with them today and gave them an earful. I have refused to give them my tel numbers in the past and yet they phone me on both my landline and mobile to give me a "courtesy call". which is threatening and insidious. This tagging, tracking, monitoring has gone far enough. I think everyone should complain to their MP about it. I will not use Facebook or Google or any junk like that. All the parties are the same, what an embarrassment that GCHQ is controlled by the NSA dollars and our information is sold.

You are a liar. They will stop at nothing and you know it. No government agency had my telephone numbers but the CSA got them.

This number is constantly calling with complete harassment when at work. I told them not to call my work number yet they still call when I'm working and in meetings. Surely there are legal rights against this kind of harassment when at work. This government has gone way beyond normal human rights against continued harassment and scare mongering. Do not give your bank details as I was asked which bank will I be paying from. Next time I call & I will make sure you have your bank details ready. If this is the CSA or indeed the DWP, then you have broken all legal rights in your despicable approach to get information from innocent people. Report all logs of such calls to your local MP and get this stopped immediately and ask your solicitor to target the government in this labour based joke.

i just got a call from these and it was from csa i have had lots a problems with my payment  and threatned them with solictors as my ex was paying it she also told me my payment will be in my bank within next 3 working days she also told me they will ring me each moth to confirm when my matment will be paid

Does this number operate at weekends? I've had a missed call this morning, if it is the CSA it may mean they have finally spoken to my ex partner :-)

This is the CSA, they called me to confirm that my son was still in full time education as he had turned 16.

i have had these calls afew times if they have been missed i try to call back it doesnt say who it is just they ave missed me and will try again soon .the one call i did answer they asked for my husband as he wasnt home i asked who was calling but they wouldnt say just said they would try again

Checked the number out after missed call on house phone and mobile and then rang CSA on number that is on my letters from them. They were ringing to let me know my case was being closed.

And what about when they harass you even though all your expendable money is spent on trying to see your babies?

They have just phoned my husbands mobile and then just phoned our landline but we missed the call. Unless its a massive coincidence, we are waiting on a claim from the CSA so it makes sense it would be them?

Regardless of the supposed agency calling, a lot of these numbers can easily be spoofed by 'overseas callers' telling you your computer is 'affecting my Internets' or trying to get personal info about PPI.

I flatly refuse to give any personal information or even confirm my name to cold callers. I have no idea who they are, or if they really come from where they say. I've been told lies by so many spoof callers that I trust no-one.

Until Ofcom sort it out so we are 100% sure of the caller ID when answering I will always ask callers to write to me.

I've just received a call from 0800 783 8527. This woman asked to speak to  ***** on a private business matter. I asked who's calling and she said she could not disclose that as she needed to speak to ***** on a private business matter. I went on to say well if you can't tell me who's calling I can't tell you whether ***** is here for you to speak to.

In that case maybe you should try calling the number. That way you'll realise that your comment is utter bollocks!

08007838527 rang me and I didn't answer. googled it and read what everyone had wrote then I decided to ring CSA and ask them about the call and they confirmed it was them trying to ring me. hope this helps.

If it is the CSA they don't care if you are working or not, and will still say you have to pay child support, they will arrange it with the jobcentre and deduct the money from your benefit, usually £5 to £10 a week. They have phoned me on countless occasions, and I have three children, none of which I see as their mother does not allow me access, and I have told them if I don't get to see my children there is no point in paying it, to me it's pointless if you have an ex partner who refuses to let you see the children then why do you have to pay?
